Abstract
This research is based on the need to analyze the motivational strategies applied by managers which are aimed at teachers of the educational community of the Polytechnic Educational Institution “Marcelo Miranda" in the city of Ipiales, Nariño; to improve teacher performance. This reflection involves a basic diagnosis about how the theories of motivation are exercised within the responsibilities of the directors of the educational institution taking into account the review and determination about what is the perception of teachers in relation to the motivational role of managers, the review of the way how the managers understand the motivation within Senior Management. And finally, it is important to establish obstacles which complicate the exercise of motivational strategies for teachers in the Polytechnic Educational Institution “Marcelo Miranda". In this research, it is essential the process from the qualitative paradigm that allows to investigate the relationship between subject - subject; and from the hermeneutical epistemological approach that leads to the understanding of reality through theories. On the other hand, it is used as a method the “Teoría Fundada en el Dato”, developed by Dr. Carmen de la Cuesta. This method allows a triangulation for analysis, where the edges of the geometric figure are represented on one hand by the actors in the research who are the teachers, by the authors of those psychological theories of motivation are articulated and the theories administrative applied to educational services offered by the Polytechnic Educational Institution “Marcelo Miranda”. And finally, the researcher with assessment, reflections, conclusions and recommendations constitutes the third edge of the triangle. The research establishes a second triangulation which is constructed from the categories of analysis that are the result of the application of research instruments. On the one hand, the administrative tendency of assertiveness in Senior Management is analyzed based on an administrative view from the Human Development. The obstacles for a democratic direction are the second element integrated for analysis. And the spiral of the direction ends which aims to create a dynamic that it has as condition: action, reflection and action, which ultimately seeks to construct a proposal for the administrative management of the motivation of managers aimed at the teachers of the institution with the ultimate aim of generating excellent performance of teachers in their efforts to provide educational services. The research addresses one of the current problems and the most important in the provision of educational services understanding the need to seek an alternative solution for improving teacher performance, from which an educational service is achieved that encourages integral development of those who receive and crystallized from the perspective of human development with profound ethical sense as a fundamental contribution.

Esta investigación analiza las estrategias de motivación que aplican los directivos a docentes de la Institución “Politécnico Marcelo Miranda” de Ipiales en el Departamento de Nariño, para mejorar el desempeño docente. Se analizó la percepción de los docentes sobre la función motivacional de los directivos y como los directivos comprenden la motivación desde la Alta Dirección, estableciendo los obstáculos en las estrategias de motivación para los docentes en la Institución. Desde el paradigma cualitativo estudia la relación sujeto- sujeto; desde un enfoque epistemológico Hermenéutico comprende la realidad a través de las teorías. Utiliza como método la Teoría Fundada en el Dato, de la Doctora Carmen de la Cuesta. Realiza una triangulación para el análisis, aristas representadas por docentes como Actores, por los Autores de las teorías psicológicas de motivación y teorías administrativas aplicadas a los servicios educativos, y el investigador con sus apreciaciones, reflexiones, conclusiones y recomendaciones. Establece una segunda triangulación a partir de las categorías de análisis: la asertividad en la Alta Dirección desde el desarrollo Humano, los obstáculos para una dirección democrática. Y la espiral de la dirección generando una dinámica que tiene como condición la acción, la reflexión y la acción, para una propuesta de gestión administrativa de la motivación de los Directivos hacia los docentes de la Institución generando un excelente desempeño de los docentes en la prestación de servicios educativos.
