Research was constructed by 4 students, whom attend the School of San Francisco Javier of the City of Cali, whose general mission was to identify the social representations of the corporal image that girls have created. Therefore, to describe the relative cognitive components and social bound towards the representation of corporal image of girls. Moreover, to discover how these affectionate components reflect the habits of corporal beauty. This investigation was centered in a qualitative method, utilizing a hermeneutical paradigm and a theoretical perspective of the Social Representations. They used these technics for a recollection of information in the semi-structured interview and the participating group that were applied to 4 students from the School of San Francisco Javier. In conclusion, television programs permit girls to construct social representations in comparison to corporal image. After these programs and the establishment of body beauty habits such as makeup, accessories, clothing and so on is to help fit within the ideal social image. In addition, a correlation has been shown that sources such as family and friends reinforce these thought and actions.
