Revisión temática(2019-05-28) Dueñas Flórez, Cindy Paola; Tapia Caez, Esmeria GracielaIntroduction: The patient who is critically ill, is frequently subjected to a significant degree of immobilization, which leads to the Physical Disorder Syndrome. This syndrome is characterized by the metabolic and systemic deterioration of the organism as a consequence of prolonged immobilization; the metabolic alterations begin to be observed in the first 24 hours of immobilization. Objective: To establish the level of prevention of an exercise program in physical deconditioning in the elderly. Methodology: Older adults that enter the hospital center, that due to medical forecast of entry have a prolonged hospital stay. Results: 13 articles addressed the beginning of the activity and benefits where it is emphasized that the physical intervention must start in the Flow Phase (acute or catabolic), and 10 articles related to the progression of the activity, framed in the analysis and progress obtained by stage of postural evolution. The variability of studies shows that early exercise in the hospitalized elderly must have a personalized and appropriate care and according to the condition of each patient Conclusions: Early mobility in the critical patient and the performance of physical exercise in a properly prescribed and planned manner, generates beneficial effects in the different body systems, optimizes the functionality and independence of the patient, and impacts on physiological aspects that in one way or another allow improving the physical condition of the patient and reduce the time spent in bed, also has a very positive effect on the physical-psychological well-being of this group of patients, by improving their self-esteem and desire to live
