For this, a descriptive case study with a qualitative approach was used, in order to contribute to a reasonable and objective deduction of the object of analysis. The study was carried out in three phases; the first one was the identification of pedagogical strategies to stimulate the development of oral language through early childhood poetry; secondly, the pedagogical strategies were characterized which enhance the oral language development of transitional children through children's poetry; In the third place, the pedagogical actions developed by the teachers in the children's home were categorized. Finally, it was concluded that poetry is very important in early childhood education, since it brings with it many experiences that can be experienced in a playful and non-traditional way; which is why educational institutions must include literature as a significant learning habit.
