- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoFachada vegetal en edificaciones tropicales : la doble piel vegetal como filtro térmico y lumínico en edificaciones tropicales de altura(2018) Pineda Briceño, Luis Eduardo; Naranjo Gaviria, AlejandroRecent studies on vertical greenery and plant facades in tropical latitudes different from Latin America, with the ideal environment and the greatest diversity of plants and plant species. The objective of this study is to monitor the behaviorM of air temperature, on two balconies with different orientations and whose façade is resolved with plant elements. The measurements were made in a balcony oriented to the north and another to the west of an urban building in the city of Medellin, locating two sensors in each, at 0.30 m. of distance, n relation to the inner and outer surface of the same case. Data was collected during a month using thermo hygrometers type HOBO Data Logger, protected by a radiation barrier. The data were analyzed using tables and graphs to make comparisons between both cases and determine their behavior in relation to the comfort zone according to an adaptive method. During the day and night, the internal temperature in both cases varies between 2 °C to 4 °C during the day as the minimum and maximum registered value. Therefore, the plant facade isolates the external temperature during the day and night constantly
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoIntegración de patios en altura a viviendas masivas de la ciudad de Montería para la optimización del desempeño térmico y lumínico(2019) Coronado Taboada, María José; Arango Díaz, Lucas; Naranjo Gaviria, AlejandroThe main objective of this project work is to enhance the thermal and light performance of the massive housing in Monteria city through the introduction of courtyards in height. For this purpose, an architectural characterization of the multi-family buildings of the city of Monteria and different types of courtyards in height was carried out, thus proposing a Base Case and three proposals for housing with courtyards in height. Moreover, thermal and light simulations of the Base Case and the proposed types of housing with courtyards in height were carried out for the bioclimatic analysis. Based on the results obtained, a typology was selected for the development of a final design of massive housing which incorporated courtyards in height and other bioclimatic strategies for the optimization of a building in hot - humid weather
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoLa vivienda vernácula en madera en el páramo de la cordillera central de los andes colombianos y la sensación térmica de sus ocupantes(2019) Bonilla Marín, Yesid Aurelio; Naranjo Gaviria, Alejandro; Jesús Jaramillo, German deThe path of humankind through the face of the earth has left countless teachings about how they occupy the territory and inhabits the space, and it is there, where science should focus the study of the peoples multiple migrations, in order to identify the customs, habits and lifestyles that affected the way of building cities and particularly their homes. According to the above, this document seeks to analyze the thermal behavior of three houses built with wood, its thermal sensation, and the customs of its inhabitants in two seasons of the year mainly: dry season and rainy season. For this, a descriptive investigation was carried out where the characteristic habits of the population of Murillo (Tolima) are described through the application of the method of scientific observation, where the thermal sensation perceived by the inhabitants of the homes under study were considered, and the different variables that affected thermal comfort within the spaces. Finally, it is defined that the thermal comfort perceived by the inhabitants corresponds to the use of wood as a constructive element, which is closely related to the garments they wear every day and the type of food they consume in the Moorland area of the Cordillera Central of the Colombian Andes
