- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEl desarrollo de la autonomía en estudiantes de homeschooling: un estudio de caso(Universidad de San Buenaventura, Cali, 2019) Pulido Ochoa, María Alejandra; Pérez Morales, María FernandaThe present investigation aimed to examine the development of autonomy in students belonging to the homeschooling education methodology. In order to approach the concept of autonomy, the psychologist Jean Piaget - who proposed specific stages of development - was taken as the main theoretical reference. For the exploration of this concept, a case study was made to three children belonging to homeschooling education. Because this method of education has been little explored in Colombia, a documentary tracking was done where the causes and typologies of this method of study were addressed. Among the main findings found in the exploration of homeschooling, it is evident, both in the theory and in the case study, that this method of study arises due to nonconformities with the traditional school. Regarding the development of autonomy, it was observed that the ages of the participants corresponded to the stages of development proposed by Piaget. As a conclusion, homeschoooling is presented as an alternative study methodology to the traditional one, this being a wide field to be explored for psychology in Colombia
