For its part, the universal declaration of human rights talks about the right of each person to enjoy an education of high quality. This is the reason why the Higher Education Institutions should recourse to strategies as 'design for all', ensuring that the environments be usable and practical for all the persons in disability condition OBJECTIVE: To describe the architectonic barriers that restrict the physic accessibility and participation of persons in motor disability condition of the Universidad de San Buenaventura Cartagena. METHOD: This research had a descriptive focus, because will allowed verifying the made changes in the Universidad de San Buenaventura Cartagena spaces, that was carried out in students that have motor disability, watching the accessible spaces of the university where they develop as students, and was described how the barriers that influence in the activities and participation of them.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoAnálisis de la accesibilidad al espacio público en el sector de Puerto Duro de la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias(2018-06-07) Aguirre Núñez, Gustavo; Pinto Campo, jeandres; Barreto Oliveros, Rosa EstherEl presente trabajo de investigación consiste en un análisis del espacio público del sector de puerto duro, de la ciudad de Cartagena De Indias, basado en una búsqueda integral para el mejoramiento de la accesibilidad de espacio público en esta zona. El problema de investigación fue el analizar los artefactos arquitectónicos utilizados en el diseño del espacio publico los cuales presentan falencia a la hora de ser utilizados por las personas, al no contar con especificaciones mínimas que dicta la norma, los elementos no funcionan correctamente lo que genera que este espacio, este aislado de los flujos constantes de las personas y no sea del agrado de los habitantes del sector.En la investigación se plantean recomendaciones para mejorar la accesibilidad, manuales de espacio publico de la ciudad de Medellín y Barranquilla, en donde se conocen como deben de ir estructurados los diseños urbanísticos de este tipo de proyectos, dando a conocer todas las características de deben tener la accesibilidad de las personas con discapacidad para moverse en toda esta zona, lo cual es uno de los factores importantes del análisis final. Lo anterior favoreció para la formulación de conclusiones, las cuales pretenden ayudar a que las recomendaciones dadas en la investigación sean tomadas por lo entes encargados y puedan ser replicados en otros diseños en toda la ciudad de Cartagena de indias, de manera que se tomen decisiones determinantes para la eficiencia y permanencia del sistema no solo en el sector de puerto duro sino en todos los diseños futuros de parques o plazas que se intervengan en la ciudad.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño arquitectónico sensorial, con guía metodológica para la accesibilidad de personas con movilidad reducida en parques y cordón amurallado del centro histórico en la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias(2017-10-10) Bastidas Ducuara, Rommel Kisslen; Barguil Moré, YolandaThe following research arises from the lack of public spaces that the city or its managers have to their inhabitants, in this case to the population with reduced mobility, which when it comes to travel many of the different scenarios of interaction that currently exist the city Of Cartagena de Indias, present deficiencies in terms of their accessibility, preventing self-sufficiency to develop by their own will, throughout this research will be carried out an approach of the factors that provoke this problem, focusing on a section of the Historic Center of the City of Cartagena as a space for intervention, through a situational analysis, with analytical tools, which then formulates objectives and scales of intervention and then propose a product to be developed that provides a more optimal or flexible solution. With the proposed design that will be done, it seeks to create independence through these areas of recreation, therefore the approach of research in favor of a sensorial design is directed, creating spaces where the aromas, textures or sounds allow to generate an Environment more pleasant and allows to be more live closer to the environment. The proposal in addition to providing a suitable scenarios in terms of the accessibility of people with reduced mobility aims to develop a methodology guide that serves as a basis or support of the proposal and then be replicable in other scenarios of the city, contributing to social development Of the population.

Prevent them from leading a better quality of life. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank evaluate that more than one billion people live with a disability and that a high number of children and young people of school age who have disabilities do not receive any type of education. Many of the difficulties presented by children with motor disabilities are reflected in the functional mobility of either one or several body parts. Objective: Establish the influence of environmental factors on the participation of students with motor disabilities in an educational institution in Cartagena METHODOLOGY: The type of study of this research is descriptive, because it allows an analysis of the infrastructure and describe the architectural barriers that lead to problems in the accessibility and participation of students with motor disabilities.
