- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoMetodología aplicando regresión de uso del suelo en accidentalidad vial municipio de Copacabana, Antioquia, Colombia(2021) Quintero Velásquez, Fabio León; Murillo Gómez, Diego Mauricio; Londoño Ciro, Libardo AntonioIn the present research work, a methodology was developed applying the Land Use Regression Model (LUR), the ordinary least squares method (OLS), the Geographically Weighted regression method (GWR) and the application of interpolation methods, all They are part of the geographic information systems (GIS), used for the analysis of road accidents in the municipality of Copacabana, in order to establish the relationship of the explanatory variables (land use, road characteristics, speed and vehicular flow) with the dependent variable (deaths and injuries). The explanatory variables that indicate a direct relationship with the dependent variable are: mixed land use, number of turns of the roads at an intersection and vehicular flow, these variables explain 32% of the road accidents in the municipality. The results of this study will allow the implementation of future strategies aimed at reducing road accidents and decision-making by government entities (traffic authorities).
