- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEdificio Multiprogramatico/sostenible en el centro de Medellín Comercio/oficina/vivienda/servicios(2021) Giraldo Arango, María Johana; Mejía Barrera, Carlos AlbertoThis research is the development of an architectural design argued to the social environment that addresses the problem of integration of public space associated with downtown buildings and their uses in order to create spaces suitable for the development of morning and leisure activities. In order to respond to these specific problems, the methodology is used in which it is first analyzed, then strategies are established and finally as a result of the exercise a sustainable building with a multiplicity of uses is designed and it was obtained that the buildings Hybrid in nature, they are a structure capable of accommodating compatible programs, promoting the interaction of different urban uses and combining private activities with the public sphere. On the other hand, the intimacy of private life and the sociability of public life are found in the hybrid building anchors to develop. The permeability of the hybrid with respect to the city makes it accessible and the private use of its equipment extends its hours of use to twenty-four hours. This implies that the activity is constant and isgoverned neither by private nor by public rhythms. In addition to providing sustainable design on its terrace and facades that allow for residential comfort
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEspacio público aéreo centro de Medellín(2019) Bustos Franco, Brandon; Ramírez González, Juan Esteban; Henao Loaiza, Alejandro; Villegas Díaz, Francisco GilbertoThe urban architectural program proposed below was designed for downtown Medellín, an area currently congested by vehicle traffic, informal points of sale and high concentration of people, where pedestrians have lost importance in recent years, accommodating their circulation to narrow and dangerous areas. In order to modify the aforementioned situation, the present research work was begun with the purpose of recovering the public space of the zone, providing safety to the pedestrian and providing self-sustainable spaces that allow for a decrease in the rates of particulate matter in the zone. For the development of the project began with an investigation of referents of cities where public spaces had been transformed, to analyze the proposals of value, sustainability and programs delivered, in order to create a compilation of ideas and factors to be taken into account during the development of the transformation program for the city center of Medellin. Subsequently, the area was defined, focusing on the neuralgic centers, that is to say, where there is greater concentration of people, connectivity with public transportation and shopping centers. Additionally, the delimited zone is selected by the mayor's office to initiate a process of transformation, which makes ideal an architectural proposal for the recovery of the space. After defining the work area, the key variables to be taken into account were determined, such as the available area, the use of technology that would allow for the self-sustainability of the space, which is why we researched the mechanism of energy collection and rainwater use, which would give the project a focus not only social but also environmental, thus giving the city self-sustainable projects that conserve resources for future generations and use the waste emitted in an efficient way. The urban architectural program then focuses on the transformation of downtown Medellín through the implementation of pedestrian spaces, the incorporation of an air space with solar energy technology, intelligent floors in pavegen which generate electricity from passage and tree planting for air purification
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEstrategias de diseño enfocadas en la optimización del confort al interior de espacios residenciales: caso de estudio Multi Comfort Student Contest 2020 - Saint-Gobain, Saint Denis(2021) Cadavid Iglesias, Carolina; Berrio Franco, Juan Alberto; Vásquez Herrera, Oscar Adolfo; Sánchez Jaramillo, JulianaSaint Gobain, in its 16th international edition of the Multi-Comfort Contest for students, proposes as its design mission the execution of a sustainable development park that combines residential, educational and recreational functions. This company, which designs, produces and distributes for the construction industry, has been particularly interested in developing innovative materials and solutions with a lower impact on the environment, as well as providing users with comfortable spaces where they can feel at ease and at ease. This is why it is launching this opportunity for students who are particularly interested in comfort, sustainability and well-being. The Saint Gobain 2020 challenge takes place in France, specifically in the commune of Saint Denis where the Coignet Enterprise is located, focusing the challenge on boosting the post-industrial intervention zone and transforming it into an area of ecological living, learning and recreation, respecting both the traces of the historical heritage of the place and the sustainable development needs of the modern neighborhood. The project resulting from this research sought to respond to the commission of the competition by questioning the environment, how it was going to work, why it had to be like this and what it was going to be like. This process was based on the way of facing the scale, from the micro to the macro and it was understood that it is not about the development of buildings but about preserving the heritage, cradle of the identity, projecting urban strategies and creating existing systems of objects. To this end, and understanding the immediate context, the creation of an existing urban mechanism was projected, the station and how it could be deployed as a platform that would achieve uniqueness with heterogeneity and multiplicity
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoHorizontes productivos : pedagogías al aire libre(2020) Gómez Gómez, María Camila; Orozco Obando, Jackeline; Zapata Salazar, Laura Carolina; Villa Montoya, FelipeWith the objective of responding to the deficit of educational equipment that has the village of Abreo, located in the northwestern area of the municipality of Rionegro Antioquia, the project “Productive Horizons”, Promotes for the inhabitants of the sector, environmental education strategies and care of resources natural, through a "light architecture" 1 and open to the immediate environment, to complement and improve the existing school. The proposed spatial addition is defined through two variables: The first is a critical analysis of the regulations of NTC 4595, which govern the design and construction of educational infrastructure in Colombia; and the second corresponds to the incorporation of the spatial strategies of the rural school in Colombia. Thus, the architectural proposal reinterprets the formal and technical aspects of paradigmatic projects on education issues during the twentieth century, to support an architecture attentive to the spatial tradition of our culture, without neglecting the new challenges presented by the current problems of the municipality. The idea is developed based on these problems and in order to mitigate them in this rural area of the municipality of Rionegro, improving pre-existing educational equipment and complementing it through activities that integrate and benefit a certain population in the area, through preservation of cultural identity such as horticulture and floriculture, to teach students the proper procedures to perform and complementing these learnings with technical activities that add to basic education and generating in the educational entity living spaces that provide benefits to The entire population

- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoRehabilitación de edificios en Sabaneta(2020) Taitte Restrepo, Sara Paulina; Gaviria Carmona, Maria Isabel; Villegas Díaz, Gilberto Francisco; Henao Loaiza, Diego AlejandroEvery day the number of buildings that do not meet the criteria to generate a good management of the natural environment increases, on the contrary, they affect it without thinking about the consequences that they may have in the future, whether they are environmental, economic or social. Today's architects focus on making the most innovative design, with the most scarce and expensive materials, without being aware of the great damage that is being caused, often unnecessarily, only by luxury. For this reason, the research topic is based on implementing strategies in the use of materials, for the construction of sustainable buildings, in order to establish the efficient use of resources, in relation to the mitigation of environmental impact, and thus contribute to the protection of the environment. This research proposal seeks to propose design strategies so that the air that has been affected by the different pollutants in the municipality of Sabaneta does not affect the interior of the buildings, taking into account that the different architectural typologies that already exist do not have the characteristics to be sustainable. Therefore, it is proposed to create a facade that mitigates pollution and represents comfort for people inside the different spaces. There are two important aspects to focus on: (1) How can indoor pollution problems be reduced through exterior improvement (facades) and (2) how sustainable applications implemented in existing typologies could generate important changes in the indoor air of buildings and in the health of the inhabitants
