    All organization or company has capital at risk in order basically that capital generates profits, profitability and create value (economic growth) and this premise are not exempt the financial institutions; on the other hand we can say that these goals must be indispensable for the continuity and survival of businesses. Considering that the financial sector in Colombia is a very important economic sector of the country (the financial activities currently contribute 4.9% to GDP in 2014), this research proposal is based on a descriptive analysis of financial developments of the Banco Davivienda (It is the third largest bank in Colombia) from betting strategies and growth under the modalities of mergers and takeovers issuance of shares used to achieve its growth and results among 2007 and 2014.
