    The following writing refers to the models of measurement of Intellectual Capital, showing the result of the research work, responding to the problematic question of why it is necessary to measure Intellectual Capital and thus describe the benefits of implementing any of the models in the companies, but first it was necessary to describe the concept of Intellectual Capital and define what its components or elements are, followed by observing the modification of measurement models over time and the use that has been given to this wonderful tool, thus proceeding to perform an analysis among the most relevant measurement models, taking into account their authors, their bases and final results for the entities in which they are applied or developed; thus proceed to give answers to the hypotheses made at the beginning of the research work and finally expose the research conclusions

    Un análisis del capital de trabajo en el sector minero.

    This work tries to announce the benefits and limitations of working capital management, through studies and measurements of the financial situation of companies such as: Mineros SA, Mineros Frisco, Buenaventura SA and Barrick Gold, which belong to the mining sector, dedicated especially to the exploitation of gold; verifying if in the last 5 years, the internal administration of each of the companies had contributed to the growth and development of these. The used methodology, it was based in evaluating the elements and technologies for a suitable management of the capital of work, using technical processes applied for the exploitation of this type of goods and services, achieving to determine that when current assets exceed current liabilities, the company has a positive net working capital and, on the contrary, when the current assets are lower than the current liabilities, the company has a negative net working capital. The used methodology, it was based in evaluating the elements and technologies for an adequate management of working capital, using technical processes applied for the exploitation of this type of goods and services, achieving to determine that when the current assets exceed current liabilities, the company has a positive net working capital and, on the contrary, when the current assets are lower than the current liabilities, the company has a negative net working capital.

    Principales hallazgos en el proceso de toma de decisiones financieras de las pequeñas empresas de confección de Cali

    La cadena textil y de confecciones es uno de los sectores industriales con mayor dinamismo y tradición en la historia económica del país. Desde comienzos del siglo XX las empresas de este sector han sido dinamizadoras del desarrollo económico y social. Esta actividad industrial se caracteriza por su papel determinante en la generación de empleo, el crecimiento económico y la actividad exportadora; sin embargo, en los últimos años el sector ha tenido grandes dificultades, debido especialmente al contrabando y a prácticas desleales de comercio, como el dumping. Por su parte, el subsector de las confecciones se ha visto afectado por las importaciones de saldos de ropa usada de los Estados Unidos y por la piratería de marcas, factores que han menoscabado su competitividad. Entre los resultados obtenidos en este trabajo se ha logrado conocer el origen de las decisiones financieras adoptadas por los pequeños empresarios confeccionistas de prendas de vestir para dama de la ciudad de Cali. Algunas se pueden sintetizar así: si bien el pequeño confeccionista acude a unas pocas fuentes de información financiera (especialmente el estado de resultados), preferiblemente se guía, para sus decisiones financieras, por su empirismo y su propia experiencia; sus fuentes de información financiera no son rigurosas ni sistemáticas; por el contrario, son muy puntuales.
