    Bioclimática de fachadas perforadas realizadas con materiales y técnicas autóctonas del pacífico colombiano, caso de estudio de vivienda en Quibdó

    In areas with a humid tropical climate, ventilation is essential to achieve thermal comfort inside the houses, the temperature and relative humidity must be controlled through the materiality of the facades used, there are areas of the tropics that still preserve ancestral customs to build their homes with good thermal results; This research addressed the study of indigenous techniques and materials used by the inhabitants of the Colombian Pacific for the elaboration of their enclosures or housing enclosures in Afro-descendant and indigenous cultures. The objective was to scientifically evaluate how three (3) vegetable fibers used as perforated facades in traditional houses in the Colombian Pacific behave; The indigenous culture uses fibers from Iraca Carludovica palmata (Ruiz & Pav). As a protection curtain against solar rays, the Afro-descendant culture uses the fiber of plantain or platanillo; A third fiber used by the two cultures is the palm or chonta Iriartea deltoidea (Ruiz & Pav), used in the construction of facades for their homes. This research was based on laboratory studies carried out at the Universidad de Nacional, Medellín, real house study and simulations in DesingBuilder and AutoDesk software, for which we used a soundproof camera, a wind tunnel and Dataloger type sensors to obtain temperature data, relative humidity, lighting, a sound level meter to measure sound pressure and videos for the qualitative analysis of the air flow of each fiber. After the analysis and simulations, the palm presented the best performance, achieving a reduction of 2.4 ° C in temperature and 18.25 dBA as sound insulating fiber; Additionally, it was evidenced that a 1m2 of construction in palm costs 50% less than in concrete block and its carbon footprint is 95% lower.

    Los derechos bioculturales en Colombia: aplicación al caso de Tribugá

    This review article describes the problems faced in Colombia by communities that currently hold cultural rights in relation to both decision-making and the assessment of the sustainability of projects that are intended to be implementation in its territories, therefore, this article aimed to analyze the importance of biocultural rights in the Colombian legal context and to examine their application in the case of Tribugá (Chocó), where, at present, the possibility of construction of a port. The work was framed in a research methodology with a qualitative methodological approach, whose sources used, in addition to the texts created by author Sanjay Kabir Bavikatte, are the rulings issued by judges and magistrates of Colombia, communiqués of press, as well as related articles. Where the results showed that; communities, such as those in the areas surrounding Tribugá, are not allowed to participate actively in decision-making that could affect them in the long term, so one of the most important conclusions of this article proposes strengthen and monitor how the pre-consultation process and the consent of communities is carried out and used

    Impactos del paramilitarismo en la región Urabá/Chocó 1998-2006. Claves para la lectura de las afectaciones colectivas

    Este informe de investigación recoge los resultados de una exploración sobre la naturaleza de las afectaciones de un grupo armado, lo paramilitares, en una región colombiana; este ejercicio ha sido la antesala para planteamiento de una investigación que, recientemente aprobada, se propone ofrecer pautas para dar cuenta de aquellos impactos de la guerra que puedan ser definidos como “daño colectivo”. En este orden de ideas, este artículo se propone exponer de la los resultados de esta aproximación preliminar que, a la manera de un estudio de caso, permiten establecer los alcances y limites analíticos de las aproximaciones de este carácter para dar cuenta de la dimensión de los daños colectivos a partir de la inspección de los tipos y naturaleza de las acciones paramilitares en el Chocó y Urabá antioqueños, durante el periodo 1998-2006.
