    The objective of this article is to analyze the roots of the attitudes and criminal behavior of the convict serial killer Edmund Emil Kemper III, which will be compared with different psychological theories properly exposed and which are fundamental to allow a multidimensional approach to the serial murders perpetrated. In this case, the paper is an introduction to future investigations related to the genesis of the serial killer, its comprehension, the deepening of the problems and the behavioral analysis that leads to criminal behavior

    Economía del crimen: determinantes socioeconómicos de la criminalidad en la ciudad de Cali, 2002 – 2012

    En Cali existe una brecha entre clases sociales dada por una ruptura en la conectividad social y por la polarización de las mismas, de la que resultan problemáticas asociadas a la criminalidad. Como una percepción ex ante, las comunas con índices de homicidio más altos son las pertenecientes a los estratos bajos, mientras que los hurtos se presentan con mayor frecuencia en las zonas de estratos altos, por el beneficio económico esperado. Se plantea un modelo microeconómico, basado en la teoría de Becker (1968), que identifica los determinantes socioeconómicos que influyen en el comportamiento de la criminalidad, hurtos y homicidios, en las comunas de Cali para los años 2002 – 2012. De acuerdo con el modelo teórico, se espera una relación positiva de las variables socioeconómicas planteadas, como el desempleo y el coeficiente de Gini, mientras que para variables como educación, seguridad, cultura y la variable penal ejecución de penas, se espera tengan una relación negativa con el crimen. El trabajo arroja resultados donde Cali no cumple a cabalidad con la teoría, pues los hurtos se disuaden según el acceso a la educación y aumentan según los establecimientos culturales, y los homicidios guardan relación negativa con los establecimientos de seguridad.

    The Monstruo de los Mangones is an event that occurred in the 60s and 70s in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. They never could clarify who was the character or characters who responded to the alias Monstruo de los Mangones, often claimed to have caught the person responsible but it was nothing more than a common criminal. In this document it focuses on the research conducted by the State and research institutions (regulations of the time).

    El monstruo de los mangones: ¿generó movilidad social?

    This document shows an investigation developed during 2014-2015 This investigation was developed by the consulting many different documents like: News and articles from the departmental library and it is supported by the following theoric referents: Mariano Narodowski, Cecilia Muñoz, Ximena Pachón, Jaume Funes, and David Le Breton. Also there are some interviews to booksellers and family members who lived during this character period (1960-1975) who told their testimonies about what the Cali society experienced during that period. After collecting plenty of information the next step was to realize an analysis about the facts that occur among the children in Cali, which could have been the causes, which changes appeared in the society since 1960 until now, which were the methods used by families, police and the society in general to avoid and prevent some types of abuses in the children.

    In this research project named INSTITUTIONAL PRACTICES FROM THE MONSTRUO DE LOS MANGONES, I going to show the conducted process of finding about the Monstruo de los Mangones, during 2014-2015, which was conducted by some media information such as documents, news articles, films, among others; to account for who was the monstruo de los mangones and especially what actions done with the child population were. On base on this, an analysis to account for the impact that the Montruo de los Mangones event occurred in childhood and in the Cali society in the years 1960-1975, which is related to the central theme of be held institutional practices, where it is evident that such institutions involved in cases of Monstruo de los Mangones victims, where the boys and girls are the principal victims, which will be showing through documents newspapers.

    Pulsión de muerte en un adolescente con conducta criminal

    The objective of this article was to theoretically analyze the concept of death drive in a criminal subject, interned in a Youth Training Center in the city of Cali (a place that receives adolescents and young people between 14 and 25 years of age), accused of the crime of homicide; likewise, the concept of death drive was articulated with socio-cultural aspects in the subject's life history. To this end, a bibliographic review was carried out to understand the socio-cultural aspects in the subject's life history and to support the case study by highlighting the problem and identifying the central aspects in the subject's criminal behavior, emphasizing the discourse to point out the most distinctive signifiers from the subject's cultural and subjective environment and how this is articulated with the death drive, particularly that which surrounds the rites and "contras" that emerged throughout the interviews. In the analysis of the adolescent's discourse, it was found that the death drive is made evident from a certain compulsion to repeat the violent acts of the adolescent within the Formation Center, attempting against his own life and integrity and that of others. This conceptual intertwining with the socio-cultural aspects of the subject, showed that the death drive is mobilized in such a way that it gradually emerges to alter the bond that the subject makes with his partner, all this from feelings that cause displeasure by influencing the choices made at the time of committing criminal acts; at this point, we must stress the capital importance of beliefs and rites as forms of protection against possible guilt in the face of manifestations of aggression by the adolescent.

    El sicariato : una mirada psicoanalítica

    Este análisis permite reflexionar sobre el fenómeno del sicariato, desde una perspectiva psicoanalítica, psicosocial y criminológica. Discusión que se realiza desde su apertura con un planteamiento desde violencia social, en la cual se evidencia la agresividad como detonante de la violencia que ejerce el sujeto en su acto homicida. En el que interviene la criminología desde el enfoque psicoanalítico para evidenciar la introducción de lo subjetivo en el análisis realizado al perfil criminal. El texto permite evidenciar las diferentes formas de pulsión que se instaura en la psique del sicario, el cual permite el acto transgresivo dentro de la Ley. Así como también desarrolla las dimensiones del sicariato como un tipo particular de perverso.

    La sombra detrás de la infancia: con la presencia del monstruo de los mangones

    El trabajo que se presenta a continuación como, “La sombra detrás de una infancia: con la presencia del Monstruo de los Mangones...”, surge de la inquietud por saber qué sucedió en la Ciudad de Cali (Departamento del Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Suramérica) hacia la década de los 60 con un personaje que la sociedad llamó “El Monstruo de los Mangones”, el cual generó cierto ruido a muchas familias y en especial a sus hijos menores de edad. Tales situaciones se manifestaban con muertes y en algunos casos además con violaciones hacía estos niños en esa época; hecho que incluso traspasó las fronteras de la ciudad llegando a otros Municipios del Valle del Cauca. Crímenes que tuvieron a la sociedad caleña de la época en alerta, desconcertada y extrañada ante tal magnitud y frecuencia con que se desaparecían tantos niños en tan corto tiempo.
