- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoAnálisis de alternativa de bajo impacto ambiental para las viviendas del Centro Histórico de Cartagena(2020-07-28) Martínez Álvarez, Olga Raquel; Castro Benitez, Ariana Isabel; Barguil Moré, Yolanda MaríaThis article presents the results of the research on the energy consumption present in a typology of colonial housing: high house with mezzanine, case study of the Casa del Consulado in the historic center of Cartagena; who seeks to give an answer to the problem of deficit of thermal and light comfort existing in some spaces of these homes, which in the vast majority, in the restoration processes choose to provide solutions through mechanical lighting and ventilation systems and equipment, which any generators have higher energy service costs than natural ventilation systems, generated by the excessive use of these systems. The investigation is of an explanatory and exploratory type, the quality part of the realization of the architectural survey, environmental measurements of temperature and relative humidity in different spaces of the house, the results that are considered as a higher incidence of temperature and humidity in the lateral bays, in which the following research is done. This problem is not only reflected in the colonial and republican homes in the historic center, but also in neighboring neighborhoods, in which an architecture little thought and misguided in relation to environmental and physical determinants is seen, aside from the context in the that these can be developed.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoConsumo energético en tres tipologías de vivienda en Cartagena de Indias(2019-05-23) Ayala Polo, Diana Sofía; Barguil Moré, YolandaThis article explores the problematic related to the culture of the little thought and badly oriented architecture in the city of Cartagena de Indias, which is reflected in the high level of energy consumption that is being presented in "el corralito de piedra", and with her diseases. The field of interest is especially focused on the interior of the multiple buildings that the city possesses with valued and traditional orientation made climate comfort, which sometimes leaves aside those who are economically unable to incorporate techniques that improve their quality of life at the housing level
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEstrategia de diseño en el espacio público del Parque de las Luces de Medellín, para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida urbana(2018) Mejía López, Ana María; Uñates Álvarez, Camila; Cuervo Calle, JulianaIn what way can a strategy that favors the stay of the users of Parque de las Luces of Medellín be materialized? The public space of the park is not very suitable to the needs of the people, due to the growing urbanization that increases the loss of green spaces, especially in the central metropolitan area where it is located, the park is currently used as a crossing area towards other sectors of the city due to its physical-spatial conditions, but due to the need for spaces "to be" it has been welcomed by the citizens as a short stay space, meeting point and mobilization and displacement area. What the project intends is to materialize a strategy that encourages permanence and a short and prolonged stay in the Parque de las Luces considering the aesthetics and needs of use of the place. For the development of the same, 5 theoretical bases were taken into account: Quality of urban life: (Clos, 2013 cited in Geahl, 2014), Urban equipment: (Fleitman, 2011, p2), time of permanence: (Gonzales. 2009, p.12), proxemics: Piñeda, A. in his text "Proxemic human being by nature", public space (Rangel, M. 2009, p.1). The methodology was defined based on making several visits to the park, in which observations were made, from which photographic records, surveys and interviews were collected, in specific days and hours and then highlight the elements such as furniture, people and different ways of appropriating public space. Fieldwork included elements such as park design concepts, users with their respective activities and routes in space, and identified interferences between the design thought and the current use of the park. From the above, a strategy supported by objectual design was reached, involving the three entities, the historical value of the park and the concept of light without neglecting the generation of shade, the sense of freshness and the interactivity of users with the object and the park
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoFachada vegetal en edificaciones tropicales : la doble piel vegetal como filtro térmico y lumínico en edificaciones tropicales de altura(2018) Pineda Briceño, Luis Eduardo; Naranjo Gaviria, AlejandroRecent studies on vertical greenery and plant facades in tropical latitudes different from Latin America, with the ideal environment and the greatest diversity of plants and plant species. The objective of this study is to monitor the behaviorM of air temperature, on two balconies with different orientations and whose façade is resolved with plant elements. The measurements were made in a balcony oriented to the north and another to the west of an urban building in the city of Medellin, locating two sensors in each, at 0.30 m. of distance, n relation to the inner and outer surface of the same case. Data was collected during a month using thermo hygrometers type HOBO Data Logger, protected by a radiation barrier. The data were analyzed using tables and graphs to make comparisons between both cases and determine their behavior in relation to the comfort zone according to an adaptive method. During the day and night, the internal temperature in both cases varies between 2 °C to 4 °C during the day as the minimum and maximum registered value. Therefore, the plant facade isolates the external temperature during the day and night constantly
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoModelo de renovación urbana como aporte a la mitigación del efecto de la Isla de calor en el espacio público : caso de estudio proyectos futuros de redensificación del centro de Medellín en el sector de San Benito(2021) Gaviria González, María Camila; Sepúlveda Ocampo, Mariana; Valencia González, Daniela; Mejía Barrera, Carlos AlbertoThe city of Medellín is taken as a vulnerable environment in the environmental field in front of the economic, cultural and social activities of the place, which are configured as nuclei of contamination of the environment; Therefore, when carrying out the urban planning and design processes, the environmental component must be incorporated both constructively, as well as in its design and use. For this reason, sustainability strategies will be implemented, where the mitigation of these impacts is sought through an adequate choice of materials, orientation and form of buildings, as well as an increase in green areas in the city, achieving eco-efficiency in urban design, having a low impact in relation to the landscape, and an adequate development of public space, thus reinterpreting the guidelines of the Partial Plan by generating new design premises for the redensification of the city center, incorporating urban climatology criteria to understand the relationship between planning, urban design and climate and its influence on thermal comfort and urban microclimate.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoModelo de Sistema Constructivo Resiliente con Materialidad Ecoeficiente con Sinergia Urbano Ambiental para viviendas VIS. Caso Ciudad Bicentenario – Cartagena De Indias(2020-10-20) González Vidal, Liss del Carmen; Báez Diego, Emmanuel David; Puello Mendoza, Víctor EnriqueThe design of social housing in Colombia is not sustained under bioclimatic conditions, which leads to a comfort deficit, due to the lack of strategies in housing. The present investigation analyzes the lived situation of a social interest housing in PVC of the Ciudad Bicentenario neighborhood; in the city of Cartagena which is designed without any bioclimatic parameter or taking into account the conditions of the environment, based on the conditions perceived by a family in the neighborhood. Followed by the situational analysis with the family and the housing problems, a situational flow chart is established, which allows us to make an approach to the system, delimiting the scales and the scopes, determining the products as the optimal model and the adaptable model. For the optimal model an ordering scheme is made starting with the macro scale; on the meso scale, an urban design is projected; and finally, for the micro scale, a housing prototype is proposed to provide a solution to a problem in general, based on flexible construction. For the adaptive model, an ordering scheme is also made on the macro scale: in the meso, an improvement is projected in the different routes; and finally, in the micro, an improvement is made in housing under bioclimatic conditions and flexible constructions, as an integral key to achieving sustainable development in both models
