    Calidad del cuidado: más allá de la destreza técnica

    El propósito de este artículo es presentar un análisis de la relación existente entre las interacciones de las enfermeras y sus pacientes, con la práctica del cuidado, las emociones y los significados acerca de la experiencia. La investigación es de carácter cualitativo e interpretativo, y su método es fenomenológico hermenéutico. Las técnicas que se emplearon para la generación de información fueron la entrevista en profundidad y los grupos focales. La investigación se realizó desde una perspectiva psico-sociológica no individualista y encontró que la calidad del cuidado no solo depende de las destrezas técnicas de las enfermeras sino de la calidad de las interacciones entre ellas y sus pacientes, la tristeza que surge de dichas interacciones puede movilizar la empatía siempre y cuando su expresión sea correspondiente con el contexto laboral y existe una implicación significativa y mutua de la experiencia personal en los diferentes contextos lo que resulta determinante en la calidad del cuidado brindado.

    Comunicación de malas noticias al enfermo terminal: estrategia médica y bioética

    El silencio del equipo asistencial frente a la realidad médica que viven los pacientes que se tratan en cuidados paliativos, no contribuye a mejorar la situación de ellos, ni la de la familia; por el contrario se considera que una comunicación clara acerca de lo que el paciente deberá afrontar en las unidades hospitalarias, aporta por una parte a que este se sienta que es el dueño de su propia vida, que puede intervenir tomando decisiones acerca de su salud, y a que la familia, conociendo la situación real, favorezca el bienestar del enfermo. Por otra parte introduce la relación equipo asistencial-paciente-familia, en una dimensión que posibilita crear condiciones adecuadas para esta etapa de la vida. En este trabajo se destaca la importancia de la comunicación y se especifican sus beneficios.

    Cuidados paliativos : vivencia del cuidador primario

    El propósito del siguiente trabajo es presentar, la vivencia del cuidador primario frente a los cuidados paliativos que se le ofrecen a un familiar con enfermedad crónica, terminal, degenerativa o progresiva, desde la perspectiva teórica de las autoras Fonnegra y O´Connor, bajo las categorías de análisis Cuidador primario y Calidad de los tratamientos, esto con el fin de aportar la comprensión y en caso tal, profundizar en el conocimiento sobre estos términos y lo que implican. Para ello se realizaron entrevistas semi-estructuradas bajo la modalidad de la virtualidad, para poder analizar las vivencias de los cuidadores bajo los diferentes diagnósticos que presentan sus familiares. Por lo que la investigación permitió comprender que existe desconocimiento sobre los cuidados paliativos, y que las percepciones giran en torno a que los cuidados son confundidos con la muerte asistida cuando éstos no se implementan desde el diagnóstico, sino como un último recurso.

    Cuidados paliativos: necesidad humana y obligación ética frente a la atención integral al enfermo terminal

    El trabajo que los profesionales de la salud y los sistemas sanitarios aplican ante la inminencia de la muerte ha cambiado, pues de una posición curativa de la enfermedad se ha orientado hacia sistemas de atención, en los cuales la muerte y las vivencias previas tienen una comprensión, respetuosa y competente. Dicha evolución, especificada en una atención integral tiene en cuenta, el conjunto de necesidades biológicas, psicológicas, espirituales y de acompañamiento del paciente terminal y el contenido de la obligación ética que tiene el equipo tratante. La investigación ha sido documentada con artículos científicos en los cuales los resultados dan cuenta de la necesidad de que los cuidados paliativos vayan más allá del aspecto terapéutico y del alivio del dolor y los síntomas, para concluir que este enfoque ético es necesario para lograr que el paciente muera en paz.

    Hacia el afrontamiento de enfermedad de una paciente oncológica y su familia

    The present research about the palliative cares is an approach to the coping to an elderly woman with cancer at the terminal stage with two daughters both of them caregivers in her last days, which the main objective was to characterize the palliative cares on a oncology patient and her family, in the last phases of the sickness, likewise taken into account the specifics objectives which were to verify the information who have a oncology terminal patient and their families to face the illness condition, identify which intern elements ( personal, emotional) has the patient and their family to confront the disease process and identify with what external elements ( economic, social support networks) have the patient and her families to face the illness process. The research was characterized as a case of study of descriptive type; the tools for the recollection of the information, was the semi structure interview. Finally the conclusion is that the cancer in terminal stage involve a series of changes physically, mentally and socially; and despite of using the "silence" or not face the disease, it prove that exist strategies and resources to face the disease process available to the patient and family and are used subjectively in each.

    Informe de pasantías: “cara a cara con el cáncer, una experiencia de cuidado paliativo”

    This is a document that contains a systematized description of my two internship experiences at the Oncologos del Occidente institution, which is one of the most recognized institutions in Eje Cafetero for the management of cancer, especially with adults. In the city of Manizales, the palliative care team began operating within the institution in December 2015, opening up the possibility of supporting this team from my area of psychology and my emphasis as a future specialist in the subject. Which allowed me to develop a very productive internship focused on my academic, work and personal needs and especially those of the institution. Within my two internships I managed to complete a total of 281 hours, which included home visits to patients with different types of cancer and their families for evaluation, intervention and follow-up; In addition to performing some important interventions with the interdisciplinary team which focused on the importance of caring for the other and of themselves, especially considering the emotional; Also in the prevention of burnout and beginning the training in communication skills of bad news.

    Palliative Care reminds us how to humanize again the medical practice, how to understand better the vital cycles (specially death), how to have a successful life experience for a dignifying death, how the quality of life and wellness are not lost because of the suffer of any given illness, how to be and confront with resilience be like health personal-patient-family any given adversities who may come. In the present paper it is given a glimpse of the action of Palliative Care in a transplant patient corporation about different needs viewed in a bio-psico-social-spiritual model, worked from the concepts given in the specialization and the experience of the everyday towards the realization of process and intervention.

    La presencia del ser para la muerte a través del arte-terapia

    En el presente escrito, se plantea la posibilidad de expresión que está presente en el ser-para-la-muerte en pacientes que son intervenidos desde los cuidados paliativos, a través de una visión que se acerca más a un planteamiento y reflexión filosófica existencial, canalizado por medio del Arteterapia, analizando la forma en la cual el ser hace presencia en el mundo, permitiéndose expresar aquello que es; dando espacios para la catarsis y elaboraciones propias de un estado en el cual, es inminente el final de ese viaje al cual llamamos vida. El autor desarrolló para este escrito sus propios conceptos, los cuales fueron alimentados por la lectura de investigaciones previas de artículos y libros referentes para lograr dar cuenta de los cuidados paliativos, el ser-para-la-muerte, el Arteterapia, para finalmente dar vida a la articulación de los términos desarrollados

    Propuesta de talleres reflexivos para cuidadores de niños entre 8 y 10 años con diagnóstico de VIH/SIDA

    In this paper some pstulates from existentialist humanist theories are proposed, such as those by Maslow with the holistic-dynamic theory, Rogers with the person-centered theory, May with existential psychology and Yalom with the concept of death and palliative care, seeking to sensitize caregivers of children between the ages of 8 and 10 diagnosed with HIV/AIDS with the purpose of strengthening and generating well-being of the relationships between them, through a theoretical reference and a proposal of 10 reflective workshops, these Workshops have a theoretical psychological reference, for that reason the application must be performed by a profesional psychologist. These workshops are aimed at the psycho-educational context in order to be able to accompany the caregiver of the child diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, from their feelings and experiences, generating a comprehensive well-being, to achieve an unconditional acceptance of respect and understanding.

    Rol del psicólogo en cuidados paliativos y aspectos emocionales que inciden en su labor: un estudio de caso

    This research, called the role of the psychologist in palliative care and emotional aspects that affect their work: a case study, sought to examine from a humanist perspective, the relationship between the psychologist who works in palliative care, the patient and his family, and from there outline the emotions that are implicit in the professional when intervening in the palliative field. Method: Cross-sectional study, with a qualitative approach, of descriptive scope, in which the in-depth interview applied to a health professional specialized in the field of palliative care was used as an instrument for data collection. General objective: to describe the role of the psychologist in palliative care and the emotional aspects that affect his work. Specific objectives: Explain the role of the psychologist in the field of palliative care, then investigate the relationship psychologist-patient and family, finally analyze the incidence of emotional aspects that mediate the work of the psychologist. Results: The most significant results show the functions performed by the psychologist in the palliative field in the accompaniment of the patient and the family in a chronic, terminal and degenerative condition and the emotions that arise in it when intervening. Discussion: Highlight the sensitivity Vs. Objectivity that transcend in the palliative field, recognize which are the clinico-aesthetic resources with which the psychologist works and how they mediate in supplying the needs of the patient and the family. Conclusions: The most relevant aspects of the study were: understanding those emotional aspects that are mobilized when intervening and identifying the work overload of the professional and the various activities that he does to deal with the emotions that allow him to reconnect with his work.

    El sentido de vida en cuidadores familiares de personas en situación de enfermedad crónica: una mirada desde Viktor Frankl

    The following essay has to do with the theoretical approaches related to the topic, "The Meaning Of Life For Family Caregivers Of People Who Are Affected By Chronic Disease, From The Perspective Of Viktor Frankl", demonstrating through an argumentative and purposeful approach ways that the meaning of life can have for those that due to their proximity to the person going through a situation of chronic disease is to become their family caregiver. Theoretical approaches have been developed from the perspective of the author Viktor Frankl, in terms of the meaning of life. At the same time we defined several terms that were considered for an overview of the subject. After this exercise there was an articulation and integration of the concepts developed reviewing topics such as: palliative care; chronic disease; family caregivers and the meaning of life; in the experience of being primary caregiver of a person in a situation of chronic disease.
