    Generating a different concept about therapy is to develop spatial solutions that positively influence and optimize the process of adaptation and recovery of the patient, "the healing machine" must configure a therapy system in which the functional reasons are not sufficient, the reasons for the be, if they are. Depression is a disease caused by biological or psychological conditions, but when these causes are linked in some way to environmental factors, can generate a series of conflicts in the recovery process of an individual, even contribute to the recidivism of it; the environmental factors that are associated with aversive sensations over space would become a major obstacle that prevents the progressive realization and overcoming of the person who suffers it. At present there are several scientific and psychological studies that are demonstrating the effects generated by spatial conditions on our cognitive and nervous system as human beings and sensitive; the way in which these spaces are arranged manages to condition us to a way of being and being. Eventually as an asylum institution, the mental hospital of Antioquia provides a system of therapies through which seeks to optimize the conditions of recovery of the user. Throughout the article we will see how these conventional therapeutic methods can be implemented, what are the characteristics of the most optimal treatments for the disease and how architecture can relate the concept of therapy and therapeutic space; because although it is possible to resort to space to improve the medical and psychological treatment of the patient, the elements that compose it in general can generate transformation strategies, providing additional conditions in this that reinforce the adaptation process with the therapy, thus unifying for help the correction of affective and behavioral problems caused by depression.

    The main objective of this work is to relate the concepts of art, depression and resilience. Starting from a critical approach to the notion of depression today, retaking old concepts about melancholy, mourning and depression and incorporating the concept of resilience in the contemporary. A criticism is made to the pharmaceutical industry for exacerbating the consumption of drugs as a treatment option, without considering other alternatives to confront depression; Then an analysis of the relationship between art and depression is developed, the concept of resilience related to depression is developed and, finally, the concepts between depression, art and resilience are clarified and related.

    Present investigation sought to identify the status of mental health of the students that deposit to programs of university formation, specially, indicators of depression, anxiety and associated stressors. 418 university students, 232 participated for it they are manly and 186 are womanly, in ages understood between the 17 and the 34 years. The sample departs of students that 2017, at three cities of Colombia were initiating their university races in the year: Medellín, Armenia and Ibagué, the ones that 254 entered of in the academic period of the first semester of the aforementioned year and 164 in the second academic period of the same. The analyzed variables were symptoms of depression, symptoms of anxiety (anguish and agoraphobia), and the variable stress. The associations between the variables were significant within the found results, but upon identifying the weight of these in the explanatory models through regression analysis logistic, a significant between the upsets evidenced itself (depression and anxiety among themselves), and only the be with significant weight for depression

    People who are close to retirement tend to show several emotional changes, among them signs of depression that might lead to self-destructive behaviors or suicidal thoughts. This would be related, in the first place, with the importance of the work activity for each one, and overall, with how that relates with their personal identity. This research had as main goal to understand the relationship between the process of retirement and the presence of signs of depression regarding the appearance of self-destructive behaviors or suicidal thoughts in a person close to retirement. To achieve the goal set, two structured interviews were done and a clinical and health test called the (CAQ)"Clinical Analysis Questionnaire" (CS-12) , which evaluates 12 aspects of the normal personality.

    The present study aims to analyze the psychic structure of patients with depression and attempted suicide. Also in this investigation, five patients who were hospitalized were taken into account, who underwent a study of their anamnesis or clinical history, open semistructured interviews and projective tests, which were thematic apperception tests (TAT) and test of the human figure. Therefore, most of the patients with depressive facies, mental confusion, tendency to be obsessive compulsive, sensitive, demanding care and approval, show hostility to the opinion of Those of others, feelings of weakness, insecurity and low self-esteem. Finally, two aspects were found that are the triggers of suicidal ideation in these adolescents, where they have kept repressed for several years the situations occurred, one of these has been the lack of affection of the family towards them for this reason tend to break the Security and low self-esteem, on the other hand triggers the psychosocial relationships that occur in the social environment and in school for what they spend most of the time

    The National Police is a permanent armed body of a civilian nature, in charge of the nation, whose primary purpose is to maintain the necessary for the exercise of the rights and liberties conditions and to ensure that the inhabitants of Colombia live together in peace ( Art . 218 CPC). It is for this reason and in compliance with its missionary spirit that Colombian police officers are exposed to violent, harmful and demanding situations.     Experiencia depresiva desde el modo existencial en una adulta joven.

    El presente estudio de caso único tiene como objetivo describir la experiencia depresiva en términos psicológicos como vía de acceso al sentido de vida a partir de los conceptos teóricos del enfoque humanista existencial abordando además la sintomatología y la experiencia depresiva de una paciente de 21 años de edad a quien llamaremos “Rosa” con el fin de proteger su identidad y respetar los acuerdos de confidencialidad. La recolección de la información se dio a partir de entrevistas clínicas abiertas hechas a profundidad donde se da a conocer la vivencia de una paciente quien fue remitida por psiquiatría por el estado de ánimo que ha presentado los últimos tres (3) meses y el intento suicida que realizó al consumir 50 comprimidos de un solo medicamento afirmando querer morir por las discusiones constantes entre sus padres y el aislamiento social que sufre como consecuencia de la baja autoestima y auto concepto al considerar que nadie querría estar con ella por su apariencia física. El siguiente trabajo de investigación ofrece unos apartados en donde se da a conocer la vivencia de Rosa como ser- en -el- mundo y el sentido que ésta le da a la misma. Se presentará también, su historia clínica y antecedentes de la experiencia depresiva en la que se encuentra. Asimismo, se trabaja un marco teórico de los temas más relevantes tales como, proceso experiencial y depresión. Se expondrá también la descripción de las sesiones más relevantes en las que se obtuvo logros significativos para el proceso terapéutico a partir de unos objetivos a trabajar y un análisis de éstas a partir de los preceptos teóricos del enfoque humanista existencial en psicología clínica.

    Ideación Suicida en Estudiantes de 15 a 18 años de la Institución Educativa Técnica La Sagrada Familia de Ibagué

    The present investigation is oriented towards the quantitative analysis on the suicide risk factor that is evident in the student population of the Sacred Family educational institution in the city of Ibague, with a sample of 141 students between 15 and 18 years of age, this was carried out under a non-experimental and descriptive study, considering the data collection through Beck's Scale of Hopelessness (1974). Regarding the results, suicidal ideation tendency was found in 3 adolescents of 17 years old, students of 11th grade, in the same way there is no evidence of an incidence in social factors that determine a predisposition to such problem

    El estudio es descriptivo, analítico y transversal, dirigido a la estandarización del Inventario CDI (Children Depresión Inventory) para el diagnostico de la depresión en niños y adolescentes entre los 12 y 17 años de edad, escolarizados en colegios públicos y privados del municipio de Sabaneta del Área Metropolitana del departamento de Antioquia – Colombia. El tamaño poblacional fue 1450 personas con un total de pruebas aplicadas en 533 niños y jóvenes. El instrumento psicometrico utilizado fue Children´s Depression Inventory (Maria Kovacs). Se realizó una prueba piloto, indicando que el Instrumento es confiable y valido para evaluar e inferir problemas de depresión; Los ítems tienen un nivel de confiabilidad alto para cada una de las variables y la escala global, se encontró un ALFA de 0.7949 indicando que los reactivos si están diseñados para medir síntomas de depresión infantil en la población estudiada.

    Relación entre dependencia emocional, autoestima y apoyo social con los trastornos de adaptación en personas separadas

    Introduction: The separation in the relationship of a couple is an experience which leaves a profound mark on all the human being. Most of the people experience this separation process in an intense and painful way. For this reason, this investigation is relevant, since along the psychology no too many reserches have been focused on the relation among emotional dependence, autoesteem, social support and adaptation disorders within the separation of a couple. Objective: To determine the relation among emotional dependence, autoesteem and social support along the difficulties when facing the separation of a couple. Materials and methods: The methodological design was quantitative, it was a study based on an analytical retrospective of a transversal and observacional type, the study was done in 135 persons with less than one year of separation, the statistical analyses were done based on the statistical package SPSS version 23.0. Results: I was found that 111 people showed an adaptation disorder, which the 93.7 % were diagnostic with depression. The 84,7 % showed distress disorder. It was not found significant differences in autoesteem. In the emotional dependence there was showed a significant difference in the people with a value P of 0,000 in all the items. Along the social support, the punctuations of those who present the disorder are less in the items of emotional and informational support, instrumental support, positive social interaction, affective social support and total social support. Conclusions: It was not found any association between autoesteem and adaptation disorder, it was found a significant relation between emotional dependence and social support with the adaptation disorder.

    Salud mental en estudiantes universitarios: análisis secundario de diálogos Socráticos y pensamiento crítico

    From the initial approaches of Dr. Nora Londoño on the prevalence of symptoms of anxiety and depression in university students, 23 Socratic dialogues were carried out, where students made descriptions of the problems they were experiencing, by means of questions that they themselves constructed and answered. An analysis of these Socratic dialogues was carried out, seeking to describe the protective and risk factors and how these affect academic performance and / or dropout. The population of this project were young people between 17 and 29 years old belonging to the University of San Buenaventura Medellín and the CES. Various problems, conditions and characteristics were found that refer to the personal, social, family and economic dimensión. It was possible to identify that the students reported some risk behaviors or personality traits that, in addition to being explicitly and directly associated with their mental health, were manifested in various symptoms such as excessive worry, anxiety about academic exposures, mood Depressive, generalized fears and doubts that led individuals to question vocational orientation and, in addition, also directly or indirectly impacted the academic dimension, reducing motivation levels, leading to excessive procrastination, indifference, isolation, absenteeism and finally , to desertion

    El trabajo psicoterapéutico con un grupo de residentes geriátricos

    Se muestran los avances logrados con un grupo de adultos mayores residentes en una casahogar dependiente del sector público, misma que no cuenta con ningún profesional de la salud para atender la salud mental de sus habitantes. Con base en estos antecedentes se llevó a cabo un programa de intervención psicoterapéutica orientado a mejorar el bienestar emocional de un grupo de personas de esta institución. En este proceso se le dio mayor importancia a aquellos aspectos relacionados con trastornos depresivos, autoestima y el trabajo de contacto. Los resultados demostraron un incremento estadísticamente significativo en la percepción de la autoestima y un decrecimiento igualmente significativo en los niveles de depresión, así mismo, pudo apreciarse un aumento notable en sus habilidades de contacto, escucha, expresión y creatividad, contribuyendo en parte, a que estos adultos mayores transiten con dignidad y alegría los últimos años de su vida.
