Most of the cases are due to unfavorable social and economic conditions, to different forms of violence and to the consumption of psychoactive substances, which are conditions that are present in the city. The coverage of mental health care in the city of Medellin is not very inclusive and the required infrastructure for the treatment of different disorders is insufficient and inadequate.The objective of this study is to understand the relationship between architecture and psychiatric interventions, to be able to propose strategies that contribute to the improvement of the treatment and social reintegration for people with mental disorders, from the spatial composition. To this end, these strategies will be applied in the architectural design of a health equipment that complements the current coverage of the city and that provides attention to users who present the following pathologies: Neurotic disorders Affective disorders Behavioral disordersIn this context, the equipment will be developed in one of the neighborhoods with the highest rate of mental disorders in the city. The project’s lot will present diversity in open spaces, green zones and easy access to the former, and efficient structure of mobility and public service. Taking this into consideration, a program that responds to the gradual phases of treatment will be designed, which retains the landscape as a primary part of it and that possesses architectural strategies based on shapes, textures and colors that effectively contribute to the patient health improvement.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoFactores de riesgo y protección asociados a la salud mental de los estudiantes universitarios(2019) Garzón Giraldo, Vanessa; Montoya Arenas, David AndrésThe purpose of this work was to conduct a documentary review of research related to the mental health of Ibero-American college students, published between 2010 and 2018, afterwards, thus gathering the biopsychosocial aspects that are part of protective factors and influential predisposing factors on development of psychopathological pictures, such as: addictions, anxiety, depression and suicidal behaviors; found in the EBSCO, SciencieDirect, Pubmed, Springer, Redalyc and Dialnet databases. In the results, the main predisposing factor is avoidant coping behaviors against different stress situations; and as protective factors are highlighted interpersonal relationships, self-care habits such as exercise, sleep and healthy eating, different behaviors that are part of the spheres of vital functioning. The findings of this article can contribute to the development of intervention strategies that seek to modify the predisposing factors and promote programs that favor the knowledge and strengthening of protective factors of mental health in university students.

The concept of neuropsychology from its historicity is a key clue to account for the evolution and development of this current since its inception in college and the changes that have been told throughout his academic career, training, research and practice.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoInteracción entre niños, niñas y adolescentes con discapacidad intelectual leve a través del arte terapia y musicoterapia(2019) Méndez Sánchez, Lizeth Natalia; Pinzón Morales, Julián David; Moncaleano Meneses, MónicaThis project was constituted by the application of different non-conventional therapeutic forms, with the aim was to promote the well-being of the individual, the therapies were art therapy and music therapy. The objective was to understand the interaction between 7 children and adolescents with mild cognitive disabilities. The first session aimed to make the first approach with parents and children; later, 5 sessions of art therapy, 5 sessions of music therapy were carried out and finalized with the socialization of his works directed to the primary support group; each area managed to constitute a series of activities that fostered creativity, imagination and individual skills like as emotions, communication and interpersonal relationships; In turn, these were recorded through a series of records, interviews, observations and session formats that allowed the consolidation of relevant information for the results. All this, framed within the qualitative approach of the critical social paradigm and represented by participatory action. In the first instance it was possible to identify that the children presented difficulties for the interpersonal relationships, having social avoidance and use of the nonverbal language. After that, through observation and evidenced in the registration instruments it was identified that there were improvements in terms of communication and emotional expression. As the sessions progressed, the participants showed improvements by initiating conversations, sharing emotions, asking questions and forming bonds of affinity among themselves

Kernberg y Heinz Kohut, donde se tendrán en cuenta los aspectos que intervienen en la creación de este trastorno a partir de los conceptos de la psicología dinámica. Igualmente se irá describiendo en el texto el abordaje terapéutico propuesto por los dos autores anteriormente mencionados, y finalmente se concluirá con una discusión en la cual se establecerán las diferencias y similitudes de las teorías expuestas por ellos, frente al concepto del trastorno límite y su intervención.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoPerfil del funcionamiento ejecutivo en pacientes con diagnóstico de esquizofrenia en condición de inimputables(2016) Gómez Ortiz, Diana Cristina; Correa Rodríguez, José GuillermoThe objective of research was to identify the profile of the executive functioning of patients with schizophrenia on condition of not criminally responsible of the San Juan de Dios Clinic Ceja. It was evaluated a total of 15 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia on condition of not criminally responsible and 15 healthy subjects, using as an assessment tool Battery executive functions and frontal lobes (BANFE). The results show that there are significant differences in executive functioning between the two groups in the domains verbal memory and visuospatial work, concept formation, planning, organization, inhibition and mental flexibility.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoPsychoeducation as a strategy to improve family support perceived from patient with alcohol dependence and personality disorder(Editorial Bonaventuriana, 2012) Martínez González, José Miguel; Albein Urios, Natalia; Munera, Pilar; Verdejo García, AntonioEl objetivo de este estudio fue analizar longitudinalmente el impacto de la psicoeducación con familiares de pacientes que presentan un trastorno de la personalidad. Para medir parcialmente el efecto de la intervención se utilizó un cuestionario que evalúa el apoyo familiar percibido. La muestra estaba compuesta por 37 pacientes con trastorno p or dependencia del alcohol en tratamiento ambulatorio. Se llevó a cabo un programa de prevención de recaídas en el marco del modelo cognitivo conductual adaptado a las peculiaridades de la adicción en pacientes con trastornos de la personalidad. El 56.8 % de los pacientes siguieron tratamiento individual, mientras que el 43.2% lo hizo a nivel grupal. Los familiares de los pacientes que siguieron tratamiento grupal fueron objeto paralelamente de una intervención familiar individual basada en la psicoeducación. El análisis de las puntuaciones a lo largo del tratamiento mostró una clara diferencia entre los dos grupos de pacientes en función de la modalidad terapéutica. Los pacientes cuyos familiares fueron objeto de una intervención psicoeducativa sistemática adaptada a las particularidades de los rasgos de la personalidad en dependientes del alcohol, presentaron mejor percepción de apoyo familiar a lo largo del tratamiento

Mental disorders being a major risk factor for suicide. So is important for child care figures to promote and teach about limits, to understand and assimilate frustrations, and to develop emotional intelligence that allows children to form resilient personalities, allowing them to cope with adversities are presented throughout life.
