- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoProspectiva turística del corregimiento de Puerto Garza del municipio de San Carlos Antioquia(2018) Ceballos Oquendo, Carlos Alberto; Tamayo Gómez, Karen Tatiana; Vélez Bedoya, Ángel Rodrigo; Insuasty Rodriguez, AlfonsoThe prospective study of the village Puerto Garza, located in San Carlos (Antioquia), looking to contribute to the social, economic and cultural development of the territory, to create a basic analysis for the design of a Tourism Development Plan, which guides the projects that will be realized in the future years. A prospective study proposes to identify possibles scenarios in the short, medium and longer term, according to the factors of change or important variables that influence the dynamics of the territory, the tourist tendencies, the threats and the future expected by the actors. The variables were selected according to the factors of the Conventional Plan of Tourism (Plan Convencional de Turismo), proposed by the Ministerio de Comercio Industria y Turismo, classifying them by Attraction, Support, Production and Management, and realizing an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of Puerto Garza and its environment. The stakeholders with major participation and influence were identified, and possible future scenarios were defined through participatory studies. The data collected was valued using the software MIC MAC for the variables, MACTOR for the stakeholders and Smic-Prob-Expert for the possible futures.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoPuerto de Urabá, impulsador del crecimiento antioqueño(2011) Upegui Cano, Andrés; Serna Carmona, Johnatan; Restrepo Medina, Liliana PatriciaAnte la situación actual del comercio internacional colombiano, marcada por el decrecimiento de las exportaciones con países vecinos, los rezagos de la crisis financiera internacional y la búsqueda de alternativas de destino enfocadas en la región oriental del globo, el reconocer el beneficio económico de una de las alternativas de operación portuaria mas mentadas en las últimas décadas adquiere vital importancia para orientar los esfuerzos en la mejor dirección posible. Es por esto que el presente artículo pretende cuantificar dichos beneficios con el fin de reflejar de manera más puntual el potencial de desarrollo que dicha alternativa ofrece; así como dar razón de situaciones puntuales que refuercen los argumentos, ya bien conocidos, para la pronta construcción de un puerto marítimo comercial en la región del Urabá Antioqueño.

It also shows the lack of communication and diffusion of the information of the project the in the city, which offers great benefits for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Antioquia belonging to this sector of the economy. At the beginning, the history of business growth and development that the SMEs have had is shown, as the textile sector becomes one of the economic triggers of Antioquia and the Cluster Project as a Business Network is born.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoTurismo sostenible en Urabá(2017) Padilla Hernández, Alison Andrea; Otálora Victoria, Indira Melina; Sepúlveda, Wilmar MauricioThe present article is carried out as a graduation project by students of tourism business administration, of the Faculty of business science of the University of San Buenaventura, where a State of the art was previously held for the research project "Model of sustainable tourism management for Urabá by integrating the value chain and the lifeblood, as a contribution to the peace process that is taking place in the region" by the universities: Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Universidad de San Buenaventura, and the Universidad Santo Tomas, which aims at creating a model of sustainable tourism management for Urabá; Considering the state of the art mentioned above, is this article focuses on sustainable tourism, in order to establish whether the sub region of Urabá is a sustainable destination; The research is based on literary analysis and interviews, which is given to sustainable tourism as an agent that minimizes environmental damage and maximizing the economic benefits.
