- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoCaseto: sistema interactivo basado en sinestesia para la enseñanza/aprendizaje de la música para niños con discapacidad auditiva entre 7 a 11 años.(Universidad de San Buenaventura - Cali, 2017) Correa Narváez, Ricardo Andrés; Osorio Santamaría, Aldemar; Cano Mazuera, Sandra Patriciain this project it's studied the implementation of an interactive system that works as a support tool in the actuals methodologies of learning in the special classrooms oriented to kids with specials educative necessities with hearing problems, so it can get easier the task of learning music for kid with hearing disability between the ages of 7 to 11 years old.To build the interactive system it's implemented a methodology, which starts analyzing different factors, as the relation that there is between the colors and the sound which is generated in many cases due a condition known as Synesthesia and along this project it's explored, how this relation it's not just a mental condition, but also that it can be demonstrated through mathematical facts, 10 scientific or physics that this two components, sound and color, have a lot to see between each other, and such relation can be manage with a practice and useful teaching method.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de una aplicación web para niños sordos de 6 a 11 años Phonak-matic.com(Universidad de San Buenaventura - Cali, 2017) Rodríguez Reyes, José Raúl; Ordoñez Cedeño, Ricardo; Cano Mazuera, Sandra PatriciaIn this work a web application was developed to encourage the learning of mathematics in deaf children aged 6 to 11 years. The application was developed with the tolos HTML5, Canvas, CSS, MYSQL, server Apache, PHP, Framework Codeigniter along with a design developed in Illustrator. The application consists of 3 didactic games, which have 3 levels with different difficulty each. The first game is Object Classification. Selection and dragging of objects by mouse. The second game is Space Orientation. Avatar movement by means of the arrows of the keyboard. The third game is Quantities. Selecting objects by clicking. In turn this development has an administrator profile which was developed for teachers. In this you can check the progress status of each student, Create new users. It allows to send reports with comments and to give statistics.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoInserción laboral de personas con discapacidad auditiva en Colombia 2017(2017) Vélez Henao, Valeria; Vélez Bedoya, Ángel RodrigoIn this degree project you would be able to find a complete report of all the research analysis done to understand the way of living of people with impairment hearing (deaf) both in their language, different capacities and work within the labour insertion process. Process that lacks support and encouragement by the companies due to the misinterpretation or the disregard to the Laws that protect the people in situation of disability. This work also seeks to provide tools that sensitize companies with the aim of increasing the number of people in situations of hearing impairment in working life. Tools such as the deaf as a person with capacity to execute activities and functions as any employee, to recognize another tool is to know different institutions and programme that support and accompany the process of the employee. Finally, it is concluded that, in order to provide the employment of any person in a situation of disability, it is strictly necessary to have a link and inclusion in educational processes where the person can be formed in a fruitful way with a view to employment or a profession satisfactorily
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoMAD – Motor And Deafness: Juego serio para el fortalecimiento de la motricidad gruesa en niños con discapacidad auditiva basado en la teoría de la actividad(Universidad de San Buenaventura - Cali, 2018) Narváez Lamus, Manuel Alejandro; Ospina Méndez, Kevind Mauricio; Peñeñory Beltrán, Víctor ManuelIn this work a serious game was developed which allows to rehabilitate or strengthen gross motor skills in children with hearing disabilities, in order to improve their quality of life. In the practice process a set of data were collected which are stored in a database, where they are subjected to a processing (realization of tables with their graphs to later analyze the results of said data), said results are compared and analyzed to evaluate the efficiency and functionality of the serious game or system in the rehabilitation of these children in their gross motor skills. These validations of the system are carried out with students of the Institute for Blind and Deaf Children of the city of Santiago de Cali. The analysis of these data was carried out where tables and comparative graphs are made, which measure the progress or improvement in gross motor skills of children with respect to the frequency of use of the system that will be evidenced in the analysis and results chapter.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoRepresentación de las propiedades tímbricas y dinámicas de una señal de audio a través de una matriz RGB para la sustitución sensorial del oído a la vista(2021) García Gómez, Andrés; Franco Bedoya, Ramiro EstebanThis thesis shows the development of a method for the visual representation of the timbral and dynamic properties of an audio signal in an RGB matrix, for ear-to-vision sensory substitution in people with hearing disabilities. In the first part, were obtained audio descriptors and a comparison was made between the different types, such as the MFCC, spectral descriptors such as the spectral centroid, spectral flatness, spectral slope among others, descriptors such as the "Chroma Vector" were also used. Which allows identifying musical notes. To obtain these descriptors, the audio characteristics extraction tools included in the Matlab 2020B Audio Toolbox and the Dan Ellis “Chroma Feature Analysis and Synthesis” library were used. Based on the "Chroma Vector" an experimental algorithm was developed, using type IIR filters and later improved with the Q transform. Based on this method, were achieved visual representations in an RGB matrix. These visual representations were inspired by the phenomenon of synesthesia, more precisely sound-color synesthesia (Chromesthesia) and the analogous characteristics between hearing and vision. Visual representations based on this algorithm were obtained, similar to a spectrogram in real time, using the chromatic scale and colors according to this. Such visualizations appear to be useful to observe the temporal evolution of harmony and notes in music and for identifying basic patterns in short voice signals (logatomes). Finally, a subjective visual comparison between similar voice and music signals visualizations was made. a comparison using the “VGGish” neural network was made too, for this using its original input (mel scale filters), and the constant Q spectrum that was obtained as an audio descriptor previously, in this case showing the original input a better performance, but qualitatively it seems that the method chosen in this work visually represents the music and voice signals better
