It is a qualitative research work with an ethnographic approach in which it was analyzed how environmental practices have impacted students from the pedagogical model "Eco-cognitive, creative" of the Institution. To this end, a series of data collection tools were designed, which were taken from the documentary review, interview and focus group. From the documentary review we could see weaknesses in the transversalization of the axis of environmental education with the subjects in the curricula, as well as the lack of a memory that captures the systematization of pedagogical experiences. On the other hand, within the values that promote the pedagogical model of the institution, there is respect as the main value that is imparted, then awareness and finally awareness raising, which could be evidenced through the focal group stating that in their formation they feel that they have improved the coexistence, care, respect, love and compassion of all that exists and has life. In the interview students and graduates show that the environmental practices derived from the model have positively impacted by leaving meaningful learnings in them, and since they know the institutional identity, they carry out actions of care and reflect values such as respect in line with the institutional motto
