The flexibility and adaptability of the spaces promote the development of learning in which the performance level of the students is increased by means of the adequate spatial quality generated by said desired flexibility. The text focuses on the importance of this change and the search for the ideal space for educational learning, based on spatial analysis and the current conditions where the different knowledge of architecture is imparted, thus detecting deficiencies in the quality of these spaces, through the participatory action methodology, which leads to proposing design strategies, to strengthen and increase spatial and educational quality, taking into account the cutting-edge educational context for its use as a reference in the application of the aforementioned concepts ; In this way, a multipurpose design model can be obtained, adjusting to what was stated in said research.

Análisis prospectivo de la cadena productiva de palma africana para obtención de biodiesel en Colombia

The substitution of fossil fuel for one of biological origin, has become one of the great challenges for Colombia and the whole world, becoming a viable alternative the production and use of biofuels, because these do not increase the emissions of CO2 and other gaseous emissions that pollute the atmosphere, as opposed to diesel of fossil origin which negatively impacts the environment and human health. The purpose of this article is to make an analysis of the prospective of the African palm production chain to obtain biodiesel in Colombia and its environmental impact. Therefore, a type of documentary research was proposed, which consists in extracting, compiling, organizing and synthesizing the relevant information of the subject, in order to disseminate a reference material. The results show that although biodiesel is a viable alternative to contribute to the environment, it has advantages and disadvantages for its production, in terms of road infrastructure, environmental regulations, biofuel blends policy with fossil fuels, skilled labor, technologies, among others.

Taking into account the phenomenon of student desertion caused by the precariousness and lack of sensory stimuli of higher education spaces, this project seeks to create a university campus focused on the arts and creative disciplines, in order to generate spaces for higher education designed from a sensory approach and to obtain a positive impact on the users of the Santa Elena, Medellin, district. Objective: In order to generate and update educational spaces specialized in arts and design in the village based on arts and sensory impacts, a review is made of the background of three pedagogical matrices appropriate to higher educa-tion (Waldorf, Montessori and the traditional system) emphasizing their methodologies, processes, needs of the population and types of relationships between architect and community. Method: It is proposed to create a universi-ty campus through a system of spaces developed from the environmental, sensory and perceptive, in order to guaran-tee and enhance learning spaces. With the following ex-ploration instrument, fifty-six surveys were carried out, an exhaustive bibliographic review, organization charts and a materialization of the idea, in order to gather all the infor-mation concerning the community. Results: In conclusion, a favorable panorama is presented through the architectu-re for the creation of the campus within the community, the design references denote the need for its accessibili-ty and sensibility for the user, conceived as a free learning

Through a case study, it was proposed to observe the impact within the educational community, environmental awareness, based on the mission of the institution, which aims to "educate individuals with a strong background in values, respect for the environment, excellent academic and bilingual level ... “ The organization conducted a series of strategies and activities for each and every one of the members of the educational community to get involved and participate in the process, trying to reflect this impact not only students, but also their families, teachers and managers, creating habits of care and preservation of the environment. Environmental diagnosis of the center: the environmental situation of the school is known: to conduct environmental management in schools, the following phases 1 Phase: Are proposed if water consumption, air quality, etc. is recycled, Phase 2. Planning and implementation of activities: activities to help improve the environment: reducing energy and water consumption, recycling, cleaning, etc. 3. Phase diagnosis: evaluates and tests whether the proposed changes are carried out. El contexto como fuente del currículo de la Institución Educativa de Gambote, Zona Rural de Arjona – Bolívar

Through this research, it was possible to design a proposal to the contextualization of the curriculum of an educational institution located in a rural area of the department of Bolivar (Colombia). In the development of this research, was performed a characterization of the environment in which the educational institution is located, assuming the environment from its systemic vision in order to find the identity elements thereof; similarly it proceeded to the curriculum analysis to identify environmental elements addressed from the institutional proposal. Subsequently, the findings product characterization phase and corresponding phase curriculum analysis were compared and identifying areas to be strengthened from the curriculum according to the needs and characteristics of the environment focused on the characterization, the results became fundamental material to establish the contextual guidelines that must be incorporated into the curriculum in search of their contextualization and relevance, also, the guidelines established were formed in the column that supports the proposal designed.

El derecho a un ambiente sano y la pedagogía ambiental

El presente artículo es uno de los productos del proyecto de investigación Políticas Públicas para el manejo de los residuos sólidos en el Valle de Aburrá realizado por el Grupo de Investigación Derecho, Cultura y Ciudad de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de San Buenaventura. Seccional Medellín. Su propósito es plantear que la materialización del derecho a un ambiente sano solo puede ser viable si se entiende la problemática ambiental desde un enfoque sistémico y se utiliza, más que la normatividad, la pedagogía ambiental, pues, solo con ella será posible la consolidación de nuevos valores y la transformación de realidades en torno a la protección del ambiente. Esto debido a que la aparición de problemas ambientales está ligada a la compleja interacción entre el hombre, la sociedad y la naturaleza y el estudio de dicha complejidad puede ser el punto de partida hacia la búsqueda de estrategias adecuadas para alcanzar una relación sostenible entre los sistemas naturales y los sistemas sociales. Para ello, la educación se convierte en una herramienta indispensable en el proceso de formar actitudes y comportamientos a través de los cuales los individuos y la colectividad cobran conciencia de su medio ambiente y construyen los conocimientos, los valores y las competencias necesarias para actuar articulados al sistema natural.

In the present work, addresses the contemporary view of the concept of domestic public services in Colombia, reviewing the public policies which make the rights of users effective, free competition, socio-environmental responsibility of companies providing public services, inclusion of the criterion of sustainability that is evidenced in aspects such as renewable energies and inclusion of management indicators of high environmental quality for companies providing the public service and finally the particularities of employment regimen in the context of privatization processes. Certainly, the management model for public utilities is in compliance with the regulatory guidelines redesigned in the 1990s and in turn is articulated with the model of sustainable development adopted in the Constitution, allowing the participation of both private capital and public capital for an optimal provision of the service, that responds to the basic principles of universality, low tariffs, continuity of service and efficiency. All of which gives rise to a series of specific legal relationships between the State and the companies that are governed by the concession contracts and by the state's regulatory authority, between the companies and their users, which is guided by uniform conditions contracts and between the companies and their workers with certain peculiarities in the employment regimen.

Diseño de un fogón para evitar la inhalación de humo y partículas nocivas para la salud, durante la preparación de alimentos con el uso de leña que se da en viviendas ubicadas en contextos rurales

In Antioquia there are many types of food preparation, including cooking with firewood. This type of preparation is well known in rural areas where women are very involved. It is usually the basis for food preparation in households and, eventually, for commercial activities; however, this practice has negative consequences for the health of its users, mainly women in the household. That said, in the present work a research is carried out in which the health risks to which the users are exposed during the preparation of food with wood stoves are analyzed, alternatives of biomass cooking systems are explored and wood burning systems are validated to mitigate the harmful emissions for the user and the environment. The aim is to develop a firewood stove for homes located in rural contexts, which prevents users from inhaling smoke and particles that are harmful to health during the cooking of food. The in-depth knowledge of the activity of cooking on wood stoves is based on field work in which visits are made to homes in different areas of Antioquia such as the village of Santo Domingo Antioquia and the municipality of Guatapé Antioquia; reinforcing the collection of information with ethnographic instruments to know with greater specificity the development of the practice. The importance of this work is based on social and environmental health factors, since the intention is to reduce respiratory affections associated with the inhalation of emissions during the preparation of food in wood stoves in rural contexts, and to reduce the negative environmental impact generated due to the expulsion of toxic emissions into the environment. Finally, it is recognized that, although there are projects in Antioquia that seek to solve this problem, the coverage they provide does not solve it in its entirety and they also have a negative environmental impact. This is the reason why the proposal of this project has a great differential value by integrating new technologies that avoid the inhalation of toxic emissions and the expulsion of these into the environment.

The following document shows a compilation of architectural research to carry out a project of degree, which is a summary of the research process, and the design of the project with a functional and aesthetic level. The proposal to elaborate this investigation was born during the analysis of the massive transport system in the city of Medellín and its relationship with the immediate surroundings of the stations that make up the Metro Line A, which generate an urban disintegration. The first section contains the investigative support and its intentions, the second section presents the bases for initial design premises and their conclusions. Finally, we have the urban analyzes of the lands chosen for the design development and his urban achitectural process.

Estrategias de transformación de entornos de aprendizaje en los colegios de Cartagena (caso Institución Educativa 20 de Julio)

Educational infrastructures are the set of physical facilities and basic services that an institution must have in order to obtain a good functioning as an educational center. This should give the student the possibilities of a complete educational experience, covering all areas of learning. Nowadays, with the passing of the years, the educational centers have put aside the topic of infrastructure and, like this, it affects the learning experience, for this reason, in this work the subject will be analyzed and how it influences The education. Its main basis is the transformation strategies for learning environments to strengthen creative thinking in schools in the city of Cartagena. To determine this, the characteristics, problems and needs of the institutions were analyzed, to determine the current situation and what are the critical points where work must be done to solve the problem. The most suitable was chosen to intervene, based on spatiality and problems. (Educational Institution July 20). Which, a redesign was carried out, proposing new alternatives for distribution, location and setting of educational spaces, taking into account the main characteristics, standards or ideas for the design of these environments in the country; adapting these designs with the environmental, social and economic characteristics of the city. La filosofía ambiental y su influencia en la ciudad

El presente articulo pretende presentar la equivoca y distorsionada relación de la persona con la naturaleza, basada principalmente en el poder y la explotación no sobre el deseo de entender que son en realidad la naturaleza, que tipo de comunicación puede existir entre las personas y el resto de la naturaleza, el valor intrínseco de la naturaleza y la conciencia animal. La idea prevaleciente es la concepción creada por las ciencias naturales, la tecnología, la sociedad industrial y la economía, según la cual la naturaleza es sólo una reserva de materia prima a disposición de la a persona. Se trata a la naturaleza y los animales en forma diferente a lo que es su esencia real. Por ejemplo un cerdo o una vaca se ven sólo como un vehículo de producción. Lo que interesa a la sociedad moderna en el cerdo es el porcentaje de grasa, el valor nutritivo y la calidad de la carne. No nos interesamos en el cerdo como un animal sintiente y consciente con una alma diferente.

Flexibilización normativa del licenciamiento ambiental en Colombia durante el periodo 1993-2018

The legal regulation in Colombia for the protection of the environment and the control of the exploitation of natural resources has had an important evolution since 1991, when for the first time it was given a significant relevance in the constitutional scope. As a development of this, Law 99 of 1993 was established as the most important norm in the legal sphere, and introduced as a requirement to control and guarantee the recovery, conservation, protection, ordering, management, use and exploitation of renewable natural resources and the environment of the Nation, the issuance of environmental licenses for any person who intends to advance works, works or exploitation of mines that may cause damage to the environment. The process for the issuance or denial of these licenses has undergone a series of changes that have been gradually flexing and weakening since its inception, not only related to the regulations and the deadlines established for its study and execution, but also in regarding the entities and those responsible for issuing them; these changes have generated conflicts related to the interpretation of the rules, in such a way that the High Courts have had to intervene to resolve these conflicts. La gestión ambiental empresarial: una propuesta desde el sector artesanal de cerámica en Colombia

La importancia de la actividad artesanal en Latinoamérica es indiscutible. Doscientos sesenta mil artesanos producen elementos utilitarios y decorativos y dentro de esta dinámica, la producción de artesanías de cerámica en Colombia, al igual que cualquier otro proceso productivo, genera impactos negativos al medioambiente, externalidad que desde un punto de vista empresarial debería ser asumida por los artesanos. Entre los impactos ambientales se encuentran la contribución a los gases de efecto invernadero generados por el uso de hornos de leña, el daño y cambio en la morfología del terreno de donde se extrae la arcilla y que representa un considerable deterioro paisajístico, la utilización de sustancias tóxicas como el plomo y el cadmio, las cuales contribuyen en gran medida a la contaminación del suelo y las aguas superficiales y subterráneas, aparte de constituir un notable riesgo para la salud de artesanos y consumidores. En este trabajo se busca profundizar el conocimiento que se tiene respecto a los impactos de la producción de artesanía de cerámica en Colombia, mediante el análisis del proceso productivo y sus resultados en términos ambientales, con el fin de plantear un sistema de gestión ambiental-empresarial que minimice las secuelas ambientales que el proceso productivo del sector genera.

La unidad “Heroes of the environment”, es un recurso formativo donde no solo se podrán adquirir conocimientos del idioma inglés desde la práctica en un contexto real, sino que de igual manera el estudiante desarrollara una formación integral para el desarrollo personal y profesional. “Heroes of the environment, Environmental Problems”, del curso formativo de inglés, está basad0 en los lineamientos requeridos por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional para la enseñanza de la lengua extranjera inglés, la cual busca que el estudiante no solo adquiera los conocimientos del idioma inglés desde la práctica en un contexto real, sino que de igual manera obtenga una formación integral para su desarrollo personal y profesional. Los temas propuestos para esta unidad están relacionados con los problemas medio ambientales y las consecuencias de las acciones humanas tales como contaminación, cambio climático, deforestación, especies en peligro de extinción y sobrepoblación. El desarrollo de estas actividades permitirá que el estudiante reconozca el vocabulario del tema, pongan en práctica las competencias comunicativas al hacer uso del mismo en un proceso que les permita potenciar las cuatro habilidades (escucha,expresión oral, lectura y escritura). Al tratarse de un tema transversal que corresponde a una problemática real, podrá sensibilizarse y tomar una postura crítica frente al tema, desarrollando actividades interactivas basadas en la presentación de contenido confiable que propendan el aprendizaje desde el trabajo individual y colaborativo. Además, aprenderá a expresarse de manera oral y escrita, generando un enfoque dinámico del aprendizaje de la lengua extranjera desde un proceso de inmersión.

Importancia de la implementación de la arquitectura ecológica y ambientalista en proyectos urbanos en Colombia

This article conducts a study on the implementation of ecological and environmental architecture in Colombia, from the concept of environment to current regulations for the construction of projects of this type in the country. So it makes a conceptual and theoretical review with the objective of knowing its implications, advantages and functionality. The study concludes that in the face of climate-related changes, the introduction of ecofriendly materials, policies and concepts in architecture are of vital importance for the economic and social development of the country. It is concluded that although Colombia has had a growth in environmental awareness so it is betting on the construction of buildings which are designed looking for sustainability, it is a relatively new issue and deserves more attention both scientifically for its limited bibliography , as practical and normative. This document, I analyze the regulations in force in Colombia in relation to the issue of architecture and the environment, demonstrating that although there are laws that regulate the use of materials, soil and the care of water sources, there are no rules that oblige architects to implement ways to preserve the other resources of the context

La minería ilegal en Colombia: un conflicto de narrativas

En este trabajo se presenta una reflexión sobre el debate de la minería ilegal en Colombia. Se abordan aspectos tales como el contexto legal e ilegal de la minería, los enfoques narrativos del mismo, los efectos ambientales y la existencia de una meta-narrativa que con supuestos básicos constituyentes contribuya a la solución del problema. Se utilizó un método de análisis de conceptos y criterios, dentro de un enfoque narrativo. El análisis indica que la metanarrativa de la comunidad con los supuestos constituyentes de la diversidad con inadecuación medios-fines y la relación productiva con el medio ambiente internalizando los efectos ambientales, junto con una lógica policontextural y dialógica, pueden ayudar a superar el conflicto entre las diferentes narrativas.

Preocupación ambiental entre población universitaria: representaciones sociales e implicación personal en temas ambientales en la Universidad de Antioquia

En el artículo, derivado de investigación, se muestran las dificultades identificadas en la ciudadela de la Universidad de Antioquia al momento de construir una definición de ambiente en la cual se incluya al ser humano como parte integral del mismo. Para tal fin se aplicaron dos encuestas, la primera que fue denominada “prueba piloto” sirvió para afinar las preguntas usadas en el campo de la psicología a la hora de abordar la preocupación ambiental, ésta es, la escala de Likert; la segunda, fue la encuesta depurada y aplicada entre empleados, docentes y estudiantes de la ciudad universitaria, que ofreció los elementos necesarios para analizar las representaciones sociales del ambiente que comprenden la valoración de los problemas ambientales, el nivel de implicación personal y la capacidad de acción, permitiendo una lectura desde la perspectiva antropológica de las relaciones entre los humanos y el ambiente en ese contexto social.
