    A partir de un diagnóstico amplio y a la vez concreto en problemáticas y oportunidades del municipio de Yumbo Valle del Cauca; se plantean propuestas generales y estratégicas para su desarrollo urbanístico; que se materializan con proyectos urbanos específicos debidamente planeados y viabilizados. Son indiscutibles las condiciones privilegiadas como municipio integrante de la tercera área metropolitana colombiana. También lo son las problemáticas locales y las oportunidades regionales y nacionales para enfrentarlas. El presente documento técnico aporta información, herramientas, proyectos, análisis y evaluaciones para impulsar el desarrollo urbanístico de Yumbo y mejorar el hábitat de la población Yumbeña.

    The urbanization process that has suffered the city of Cartagena, has resulted in a high number of displa-cement between the north and southeast areas of the city, as urban spaces are disarticulated and the con-solidation of their centralities, which added to urban and mobility plans without executing, have negatively influenced the quality and quantity of equipment and other spaces for collective use, thus damaging the pro-ductive hours of the inhabitants, their right to city and the competitiveness of the city

    Estrategia de diseño en el espacio público del Parque de las Luces de Medellín, para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida urbana

    In what way can a strategy that favors the stay of the users of Parque de las Luces of Medellín be materialized? The public space of the park is not very suitable to the needs of the people, due to the growing urbanization that increases the loss of green spaces, especially in the central metropolitan area where it is located, the park is currently used as a crossing area towards other sectors of the city due to its physical-spatial conditions, but due to the need for spaces "to be" it has been welcomed by the citizens as a short stay space, meeting point and mobilization and displacement area. What the project intends is to materialize a strategy that encourages permanence and a short and prolonged stay in the Parque de las Luces considering the aesthetics and needs of use of the place. For the development of the same, 5 theoretical bases were taken into account: Quality of urban life: (Clos, 2013 cited in Geahl, 2014), Urban equipment: (Fleitman, 2011, p2), time of permanence: (Gonzales. 2009, p.12), proxemics: Piñeda, A. in his text "Proxemic human being by nature", public space (Rangel, M. 2009, p.1). The methodology was defined based on making several visits to the park, in which observations were made, from which photographic records, surveys and interviews were collected, in specific days and hours and then highlight the elements such as furniture, people and different ways of appropriating public space. Fieldwork included elements such as park design concepts, users with their respective activities and routes in space, and identified interferences between the design thought and the current use of the park. From the above, a strategy supported by objectual design was reached, involving the three entities, the historical value of the park and the concept of light without neglecting the generation of shade, the sense of freshness and the interactivity of users with the object and the park
