- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoAprovechamiento de los retales generados a partir de los procesos con láminas de acero al carbono, en la empresa Cortes y Perfiles LTDA(2018) López Cárdenas, Lina María; Cuervo Calle, JulianaThis project focused on the use of leftovers generated in the transformation processes of carbon steel sheets, in the metalworking company Cortes y Perfiles LTDA, located in the industrial zone of Belén in Medellín. Said exploitation, sought to give a second chance to these remains, to reduce the environmental impact that is generated with emissions from both transport to different departments of Colombia, and its subsequent foundry. The utilization, materialized from the approach and later fulfillment of some objectives, these were: to recognize the physical and mechanical properties of carbon steel, the analysis of the transformation processes of steel sheets and the way in which this raw material is optimized in different companies; and finally, characterize the scrap and its possible applications according to the properties of the material and the machinery present in the company. The objectives were achieved, thanks to fieldwork and theoretical research, where conclusions emerged as: The most use steel sheet sizes from range cal 20 to cal 3/16, because they are the ones who buy the most and work in the company, others of the conclusions are: the different forms of remains, the weight of the remains according to the caliber and the alterations in the metal by the processes of transformation. The result of this project is a space divider formed mostly of carbon steel remains. It is also a piece that enters the market dynamics, competing in the area of home decoration and fashion, which is a strong and growing industry in the city of Medellín. This object is also an opportunity to generate a business idea, designed to be sold to a market segment, looking for unique, sustainable products with a high aesthetic content
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño paramétrico de marcos de bicicleta mediado por software en pro de la mejora de la personalización y de los procesos de producción(2021) Cadavid Fernández, Francisco Iván; Torres Arango, MarceloEvery design of a frame for a bicycle includes several factors, among which there are the necessary processes to make them, the type of material that is most appropriate to guarantee its durability and resistance, and the anthropometric relationships so that it adjusts to the person who will use it. All these factors must be taken into account when producing the frame, in addition, the type of frame to be designed and the person who will use it must be considered, since it must meet certain requirements in order to function correctly and provide the user with security. In the research, the analysis was carried out on all the processes of elaboration of frames for bicycles, which are the most used materials and it was evaluated if in the context of the Medellín context all the elaboration processes could be elaborated with the purpose of reducing the expenses of production and sale to the public. The design of components for bicycles in Colombia in the last decade has increased and for this reason this field was explored to take advantage of industrial resources of the city, encourage the use of bicycles in sports and find a way to optimize costs in production to make it much more affordable to potential customers. The project concludes with the design of a frame for a bicycle of the rin 20 typology that, from its very configuration, allows it to be adapted to the anthropometric measurements of people, and that allows from its design to generate variations in the gauges and diameters of the material with which it is manufactured. and at the same time that the design process is more automated and the production process is streamlined.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño y construcción de un dispositivo para caracterizar las propiedades mecánicas de materiales metálicos y plásticos a través de la técnica de excitación por impulso(2020) Higuita Caro, Paulina; Echavarría Rúa, David Alonso; Berrío Bernal, Juan DavidThis report explains the design, construction, methodology and results obtained from the characterization of the mechanical properties of materials, in accordance with the international standard ASTM E1876-01. The measurement method consists of a device that acts as a support for the sample of material, which is impulsively excited by the effect of a solenoid; finally, by audio capture and digital signal processing in the MATLAB® software, three mechanical characteristics of said material sample are obtained (Young's modulus, Shear modulus and the estimated Poisson ratio). After comparing the standardized values with the experimentally obtained values, it was obtained: for the Young modulus there are errors less than 20% and with an average error of 10%, for the shear modulus there are errors less than 49% and with an average error of 25% and for the estimated Poisson coefficient there are errors greater than 27% and with an average error of 56%. In order to obtain more precise results, it is recommended to pay special attention to the geometry and mass of the sample used, as well as the measuring instruments and the positioning of the components
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoModelo de inventario de materias primas para la industria Mofles JB(2013) Zabala Marulanda, Juan Esteban; Gómez Bustamante, Natalia; Casas Jiménez, Germán DaríoEl presente proyecto plantea el estudio, diseño, y primera etapa de implementación del modelo de inventarios ABC en la empresa Industrias JB; empresa del sector automotriz ubicada en el norte de la ciudad de Medellín y especializada en sistemas de escape vehicular. Industrias JB presentaba falencias en el manejo de inventarios de los insumos Y7o materias primas para la producción. En consecuencia surge la necesidad de implementar un sistema de inventarios apropiado para el tipo de producción y los niveles de rotación de cada uno de los productos fabricados en la compañía. Planteando un estudio de ventas y movimientos del año inmediatamente anterior y con base en este estudio realizar una calificación (ABC) de acuerdo a las prioridades de producción y a si nivel de venta. Y de esta manera concluir el periodo actual con niveles de inventario óptimo evitando las perdidas monetarias y el deterioro de Materias Primas almacenadas.
