Through this mixed non-experimental study, which means qualitative - exploratory and quantitative based; the relevance of the work of educational high directors is rescued, which requires excellent leadership and management skills to direct, plan and implement successful strategies, taking responsibilities for social development within an organization and positioning it in the educational community and beyond. It is essential to accept that the dynamics of management focus on raising productivity, competitiveness and quality, in relation with the work done with human capital, which constitutes a key role. To achieve it, human, technical and conceptual skills are required, where the primary purpose of the policy action of the high director is to obtain results through the work of others. Every organization needs to have a director, manager, organizer and strategist of open, alive and dynamic educational services that meet the current needs of the community, enhance the value of human beings at work in organizations and promote the generation of proposals for the offer of high quality educational services as a model to study at the Educational Institution Álvaro Echeverry Perea.
