    Mejoramiento del sistema de almacenamiento en el centro de distribución de la zona de occidente de una empresa productora de alimentos

    En Colombia existe una gran competencia empresarial, donde todas las compañías luchan cada día para mantener o incrementar su posición en el mercado. En una empresa productora de alimentos ubicada en la ciudad de Cali, se presentaba problemas en el manejo de los productos dentro del almacén, generando incumplimientos en los pedidos de los clientes afectando el nivel de servicio de la compañía, los cuales estaban generando unos altos costos operacionales para la empresa y unas pérdidas estimadas en promedio de $12 millones de pesos por errores de alistamiento y despacho, además de deteriorar la imagen de la compañía. En este trabajo se realizará un análisis donde se identificará las causas que estaban generando la situación, mediante una investigación de tipo descriptivo y explicativo con enfoque cuantitativo, se propuso una nueva metodología enfocada en la distribución del layout en el almacén de acuerdo a la normativa vigente para almacenamiento de productos alimenticios, optimizando el espacio y circulación de la mercancía, además de procedimientos y controles de inventario, evidenciando al interior del trabajo la disminución de faltantes y sobrantes en los despachos, tiempos de alistamiento y mejoras en el recorrido de alistamiento de pedidos, que apostaron a un aumento en el nivel de servicio y una disminución en los costos por faltantes en los pedidos entregados al cliente.

    Farallones clinic, always looking for improving their customer service standards, permit to a research group, formed at the beginning by 4 students from San Buenaventura college, faculty of industrial engineering, accompanied by 2 teachers from the same institution (that would be in charge of), to conduct a study about the situation of the medicines and medical supplies general store, located at the basement #1 in the same clinic. For the study, it will take into account the own tools provided by industrial engineering, having as an objective the development of different proposes for the storage and medicine distribution in the hospital general store.

    Rediseño del sistema de almacenamiento de materias primas para una empresa que produce y comercializa calzado en la ciudad de Santiago de Cali.

    In Colombia, small companies in the footwear sector. They have a low level of industrialization and tend to be chaotic environments where disorder prevails, which affects critical points in the supply chain, such as warehouses. In a company focused on the production of footwear in an artisanal way, there were problems in the handling of the products inside the warehouse. Causing difficulties to make the picking of the materials requested in production. Every day in the warehouse there are problems such as: not knowing the locations of the products, not having enough space for all the items, difficult information management, lack of layout. All these factors and more greatly affect the performance of the production chain. The objective of this work is to redesign a storage system. In order to propose different methods, tools and alternatives that allow you to improve and optimize, the times and routes of preparation of the inputs, reductions of 15.6% in times and 49.5% in journeys are achieved. Current space destined for storage that is 15.30 mt ^ 3. A new distribution is proposed that increases the storage area by 24.2%. The management of their stocks and the distribution of materials in shelves for later use. Using a descriptive and explanatory type of research with a quantitative approach, a new methodology was proposed, focused on the distribution of the layout in the warehouse. In accordance with current regulations, optimizing the space and circulation of the merchandise added to procedures for the reception of M.P., instructions, formats and templates that provide information for a subsequent control of inventories. It is proposed that with the proposed improvements an increase in storage capacity be achieved, as well as the reduction of shortages and surpluses to internal customers, reduction in time of enlistment and improvements in the route of order picking.
