    Evaluación del potencial del sector metal mecánico : el caso de 8 empresas del valle del cauca

    In this work is presented, the evaluation of the potential of the metalworking sector specifically the case of 8 companies of Valle del Cauca. In terms of value added and the competitiveness that the sector reflects a lag occurs by net export trend of the Colombian nation and causing a technological gap in terms of added value. To account for the stated objective , it was proposed to describe the added value of the metallurgical production in the case of the 8 companies and promotional tools to promote the development potential of the sector We conclude that there is in the engineering sector a tendency for organizations in this sector by improving production and establishment of competitiveness and also strategies and public policies of the Colombian government.

    Potencial tolerante y de biodegradación del hongo de podredumbre blanca sobre llantas usadas

    The present study evaluated the biodegradation potential of rubber of used tires by enzymatic action of a white rot fungus. Initially, the effect of the enzymatic action of the fungus on the mechanical, structural and chemical properties of the rubber was evaluated. Different sterilized cuts of 1 cm2 rims were inoculated on the rubber surface. After 45 days, changes in stress, surface changes from scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and changes in chemical structure were evaluated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), these analyzes showed the presence of erosion in the material by attacking its molecular bonds. Subsequently, the potential of the rim was determined to produce fungi biomass. For this, 6 concentrations of rim powder (2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 mg / L) were studied and inoculated with mycelia of the fungus in Sabouraud agar. After 21 days, the germinated biomass at each substrate concentration was gravimetrically analyzed and modeled. As results, a proportional dependence of the growth of the biomass as a function of the substrate concentration was found. Finally, it is concluded that the white rot fungus has the potential to degrade the rubber of the used tires. Therefore, it may be a viable option to help biodegradation of used tires

    Relación entre las variables de autoestima y optimismo en jóvenes estudiantes entre octavo y undécimo grado de una institución oficial de la ciudad de Cartagena

    La presente investigación se plantea desde la perspectiva de la psicología positiva, dado que revela la relación existente entre las variables de autoestima y optimismo, al mismo tiempo que ofrece un análisis estadístico referente a los niveles de autoestima y optimismo presentes en estudiantes entre octavo y undécimo grado de una institución oficial de la ciudad de Cartagena. En esta investigación se concluye con información útil para la creación de proyectos dirigidos a la población adolescente, al igual que se otorga un aporte teórico al esclarecer el comportamiento en relación de dichas variables. Entre los aspectos más relevantes se encuentra que en esta investigación se trabajó con 173 estudiantes entre octavo y undécimo grado de una institución oficial de la ciudad de Cartagena, a los cuales se les aplicó la escala para la evaluación del optimismo o General Mood Subscale de Bar-On, R. y Parker. J. (2000) y la escala de autoestima de Rosenberg, M. (1965).
