- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoAplicación para el análisis acústico y auralización de recintos cerrados(Universidad de San Buenaventura, 2017) Castaño Melo, Edward Steven; Betancur vargas, Carlos MauricioThis proyect describes an application developed in a graphical environment called MATLAB (GUI), to evaluate acoustics in closed enclosures. This application is conformed by two tools, the first tool allow us to get done an acoustic analysis calculating the parameters of a room staring from the measurenment of the impulse response (RIR); With the second tool it’s possible to make auralizations starting from the dimensions and features of a room. In order to evaluate the quality of this application was compared with commercial softwares in the market, measurements were taken in two rooms with different acoustic characteristics
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoImplementación de un sistema de sonido aplicando WFS(Universidad de San Buenaventura, 2017) Múnera López, Gloria Helena; Buitrago Muñoz, Sebastián Camilo; Betancur Vargas, Carlos MauricioWhen we are finding implement or acquire a sound system, exist different options to choose, given that each one of system shows advantages and disadvantages for the other ones, being the versatility, the cost and the utility points to evaluate and make a better choice. Now, when it is talking about recreate sonorous environment, is evident the systems of 3D sound are more efficient because the techniques employed, allow generate three-dimensional effects. Some of these are the binaural systems, VBAP and WFS. Wave Field Synthesis (WFS) is a technique that used speaker array to simulate virtual source in a big listen out zone, been better than other available systems. About realism and acoustic dive, the WFS easily could do it. That make the WFS more efficient to play 3D sound. The WFS theory, was propose at the end of 80 and begin 90, some of the first prototypes of these systems start to implement on the XXI age, discovering new limits and problems that never been contemplate. In this project is studied the WFS theory, it’s beginnings, it’s limits, it’s components. The final object is shows a design of WFS sound system implemented with it’s code to controlled and enjoy the system in a virtual medium.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoInfinit sound fx : un procesador de efectos que propone nuevas formas de expresión y control en los instrumentos musicales(Universidad de San Buenaventura, 2015) Rosero Caicedo, Daniel Felipe; Rodríguez Valencia, Antonio JoséISFx seeks the solution of two identified issues that involve the use and operation of sound effects by musicians in live performance. The first issue is about how the musician's free movement on stage its limited as result of the use of pedalboards. The second issue focuses on how the industry has standardized the use of the foot as the principal gestural executor of the effects expression and operation. This project has as a goal the development of an audio processor that gives the musician new ways of expression and sound effects control on a live stage and frees the musicians body from a static station so that the performance with effects can go along the natural gestures of interpretation.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoPropuesta de diseño para acondicionamiento acústico y refuerzo sonoro en el auditorio principal del colegio San Antonio María Claret de Santiago de Cali(Universidad de San Buenaventura, 2019) Méndez Morales, Juan Sebastián; Moreno Nieto, Francisco; Betancur Vargas, Carlos MauricioThis work introduce the development of a design proposal of the acoustic conditioning and sound reinforcement for San Antonio Maria Claret School’s Auditorium Monseñor Isaías Duarte Cansino. It was necessary to use theory and skills learned during the San Buenaventura’s University carreer Electronic Engineering. Developing this projects, students went to San Antonio María Claret’s to colect data and lately, with the tecnological tools the design proposal of the acoustic conditioning and sound reinforcement that correspond to the students and teachers requeriments. From simulated and measured data congruence in the auditorium was possible to make a proposal of the acoustic conditioning and sound reinforcement design that fulfill with the proposed design standards to bring Claretian Community a better acoustic comfort bringing an implementation proposal.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoSistema de sonido para la generación de una fuente sonora virtual(2017) Torres López, María José; Trujillo Olaya, VladimirThis undergraduate Project presents the design and implementation of a sound system by using the ambisonic technique, which performs a coding and decoding algorithm generating a tridimensional environment to emulate a virtual sound source in a one meter circumference. In order to generate de virtual sound source, it were studied the equations for the ambisonic technique, which were implemented using the Matlab software by using a user interface. In the user interface, it is possible to allocate the point for the virtual sound. To verify the implementation, two types of tests were performed, one quantitative and the other one qualitative. For the quantitative test, a methodology was implemented by using measurements on sound pressure level on each speaker and for the qualitative test, some survey were performed. Finally, according to the results, it was implemented a system to generate a virtual sound, which can be useful for auditory training in people who have a disability or auditory deficit.
