- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDetección, conteo y caracterización de vehículos en vías alternas mediante señales registradas con sismómetros para tiempos determinados(2020) Gallego Guzmán, Sebastián; Flórez López, Alejandro; Franco Bedoya, Ramiro EstebanThe study seeks to detect, count and characterize road traffic events by means of a vehicle measurementimplemented on 3 alternate roads in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of the city of Medell ́ın, using twotypes of seismometer arrangements; linear and two-dimensional, in order to capture its vibration signals, using the Linux operating system, 2 seismic stations and 4 geophones that capture these disturbances.Once the signals are obtained, they are analyzed using two programming languages; Python and Matlab, used to carry out two types of event recognition machine learning from two reference signals that arechosen for the training of the two learning machines. Then, from the measurements in the configuration ofthe two-dimensional and linear reference seismometer arrangements, the results are studied to find whatpercentage of effectiveness they present and the utility in recognizing vehicle capacity; thus determiningwhich of the seismic array configurations is most efficient for capturing road traffic signals.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de experiencia para fomentar el uso de la bicicleta como medio de transporte en la ciudad de Medellín(2019) Díez Gómez, Nicolás; Franco Flórez, Mariana; Torres Arango, MarceloThe project is based on the current environmental contamination situation in the city of Medellín, which has forced the institutions to adopt strategies, policies, preventive measures, among other alternatives that aim to reduce the use of the automobile as a means of transportation, inviting all the actors on the road to transport themselves more sustainably; for example, the peak and environmental plaque, which by means of informative elements and sanctions to the offenders of this measure, invite the citizen to desist from the private vehicle and resort to the use of public transport, or share the private vehicle with other passengers, or adopt the bicycle for transport or economic incentives and benefits from public and private companies to employees who are transported to work by bicycle. Despite these actions, the citizen of Medellín finds it difficult to adopt the bicycle for transport, due to factors independent of geodemographic factors, such as the lack of interconnection of the bicycle path, the lack of a luminaire for it, and the lack of signaling of the same; and especially the road insecurity that occurs in the intersections and intersections where cyclists, pedestrians and motorists come together, these being the points of greatest mortality and morbidity of cyclists in the city. For this reason, an urban system was designed to illuminate the cycle path, inform the cyclist of the traffic light status, reduce the speed of the cyclist and provide the cyclist with support for the foot when waiting. It consists of a support element to the foot, which has integrated lighting and in turn is visually supported from the technique of 3D painting on the bicycle, inviting the bicycle user through it to reduce their speed and then make use of the element
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de un plan de acción para la prevención, el control y la disminución del ruido ocasionado por el tráfico rodado en el sector Niquía Puerta del Norte del municipio de Bello – Antioquia con base en el mapa estratégico de ruido de tráfico rodado de Bello - Antioquia(2017) Ramírez Padierna, Jefferson; Ortega Gribenchenko, AlexanderIn this document develops an action plan to prevent and decrease the vehicular noise in Niquia - Puerta del Norte, a sector of municipality of Bello - Antioquia through differents control measures that have been implemented in other places where are affected for the same problem, vehicular noise. Through modeling and simulations in the softwares ArcGIS and SoundPLAN respectively, the initial condition of the study area is evaluated, and two of the proposals put forward in the action plan as the most effective, throw as a result of the initial condition that effectively and as mentioned in the report of updating of noise maps for the Área Metropolitana specifically for the municipality of Bello in 2015, vehicular traffic is the main focus of noise and is the focus that more affecting to the residents of the sector. The results of the modeling of the two proposals (Redistribution of vehicular traffic and acoustics barriers) of the action plan, presented reductions notorious in the noise levels that affecting the study area as the people who are affected by high noise levels, determining that based on the results of the modeling of the two proposals already mentioned and the other proposals that are in the action plan, these are efficient for the control and reduction of noise emitted by vehicles in the study area.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de un vehículo Individual eléctrico que facilite el uso del transporte público masivo y aproveche parte de la topografía del Valle de Aburrá(2018) Betancourt Giraldo, Miguel Ángel; Restrepo Delgado, Alejandro; Cuervo Calle, Julianaresearch focuses on the problem of urban mobility in the Aburrá valley that results in multiple problems such as particulate pollution due to the excessive use of combustion vehicles, the geographical location of the city that hinders the flow of vehicles and traffic cycling. In contrast to this, the POT proposes urban works, in order to encourage the use of alternative vehicles and the use of public transport. 5.6 million trips are made daily, 51% of these trips (2.1 million) are in public transport. Therefore, the objective population is defined as people who use public transport, to directly impact the problem. In the exploration of typologies, we find the bicycle a versatile and close to the users, with facilitator characteristics, but lacking in qualities such as portability and ease of use in different environments or moments of urban travel. Therefore, bicycle was the dominant typology, integrating the qualities of other types to adapt it to the urban environment of the Aburrá Valley. It highlights qualities such as electrical recovery, folding, aggressiveness and autonomy of pedaling assisted by the electric motor. With the possibility of joining the SITVA.

- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEstrategias para la adquisición de información asociada a tráfico vehicular y su aplicación en mapas de ruido(2019) Duque Gutiérrez, Carolina; Murillo Gómez, Diego Mauricio; Ladino Velásquez, AndersonThis project addresses the acquisition of non-authoritative collaborative traffic flow data to predict the noise generated by urban roads, in order to do noise maps. For this, traffic information is acquired using collaborative platforms such as Google Maps, which gives the information of travel time and speed in a length path. To determine the traffic flow, it has been done a correlation of the amount of vehicles that travel with a specific speed in a certain type of road. For this, it was necessary to characterize the roads in the city of Medellń and to study its typical behavior with help of data taken in field by studentes of the Universidad de San Buenaventura and information given by the Secretaría de Movilidad of Medellín, and data taken from Google Maps. One of the methodologies proposed was to find the correlation by filling an area with the amount of vehicles that typically travels a specific road then according to the speed determinate the amount that circulate in certain time, taking into account the space between vehicles called Gap. Besides, it was studied the sensibility of the obtained data in terms of the noise emission doing some simulations with it. The proposed methodology has been tested in two areas of the city. The results indicate that it is possible to use Google Maps information to predict urban noise although further analysis are required to improve the estimation of traffic flow based on the type of road, speed and time travel
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoModelo para calcular la impedancia en tiempo real en una malla vial, integrando variables dinámicas(2020) Velásquez Vélez, David; Salcedo Álvarez, Kelly Johana; Durango Vanegas, Claudia ElenaImpedance refers to the opposition that a certain road segment presents to vehicle traffic. Usually, this value is determined by characteristics of the segments, such as slopes, permitted speeds and number of lanes, among others. However, at certain times,a segment whose impedance value is low, considering the static attributes mentioned, may increase due to a huge influx of vehicles. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate dynamic variables that include time periods and help to understand the behavior of these segments. The average speed of transit through a segment, provided by users of collaborative platforms, is one of them, because it is changing according to the time and day. Therefore, this project proposes a model to represent the behavior of a subset of segments that make up the road network of the municipality of Medellin. In addition, it should involve the static and dynamic attributes that affect impedance and a layer that contains the geographic information and reflects the variable behavior of these segments, seeking to contribute to the understanding and improvement of the city's mobility problems. Finally, to compare a route between an origin and a destination thrown by the routing algorithms of Pgrouting with a route thrown by the Open Street Miew.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoSistema de trilateración 2d en espacios interiores para vehículo de guiado autónomo en movimiento utilizando sensores de ultrasonido y comunicaciones bajo el protocolo MIWI(2017) Ramírez Sierra, Roberto Stiven; Gómez Botero, Luis Felipe; Meneses Benavides, Gustavo AdolfoAt present the positioning of objects, vehicles and people is very common, in the vast majority of these interactions are hand in hand with GPS systems, which provide detailed information of the outdoor location, however, this type of technology does not Lends itself comfortably to applications in interior spaces, such as the location of autonomous guided vehicles inside a distribution center, mainly due to the lack of precision and information about the layout of the interior spaces. From a geometric method for the calculation of coordinates of unknown points, it is intended to develop system to able of detecting the position of a moving object within an interior space with the help of electronic devices such as microcontrollers, servo motors, ultrasonic sensors and Electronic communication elements; As well as software for viewing, processing and reading information. Additional aim is to develop an autonomous guided vehicle to able of integrating with the system developed from wireless communications, which can corroborate its position according to the information captured by its sensors and the information received from the positioning system. The tests will be carried out in one of the electronic laboratories of the University of San Buenaventura sectional Medellín, trying to recreate an environment with controlled conditions to perform the necessary experiments and verify the trilateration in interior spaces.
