- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoAnálisis de factores de confort acústico y su relación con variables de ventilación de entrada en aulas de instituciones educativas ubicadas en ciudades de clima tropical (caso de estudio Medellín)(2018) Rendón Giraldo, Jeiser; Tafur Jiménez, Luis Alberto; Morales Maya, CatalinaThe following research framed within the research project "Identification of factors of environmental performance (acoustic, thermal and visual) determinants of the mental health of teachers and students of public schools in Bogotá, Medellín and Cali, evaluates some variables of the current conditions of acoustic comfort and ventilation that public educational institutions of Medellin and the impact of ventilation on acoustic comfort. The analysis starts from the question that arises, before the educational buildings developed after the year 2000, year in which the Colombian Technical Norm NTC4595 "Approach and design of school facilities and environments" was published. It becomes relevant in this investigation to know the conditions of comfort in the educational classrooms and to evaluate the adoption of its content by the construction sector. The methodology used for this research, takes as sample 3 educational institutions, in which 7 classrooms were measured, from each classroom the building, geographical, acoustic information and the typology of the openings used for natural ventilation were raised. In addition, other quantitative variables that could help to clarify the results as they were (internal temperature, internal air velocity at the entrance of the opening, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure). In the analysis of results, it was found that a large percentage of the classrooms comply with the ventilation parameters established by NTC4595 (effective area of ventilation and height); but, they overcome the acoustic variables (background noise, reverberation time and transmission loss).
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDesarrollo de algoritmo en MATLAB para la determinación de aislamiento acústico de particiones compuestas.(2018) Rendón Blandón, Sara; Ladino Velásquez, AndersonAn algorithm has been developed in MATLAB, with user interface, to determine the transmission loss (TL), the STC and the acoustic reduction index R of composite walls of n number of surfaces that can also be single-wall, double-wall or two-layer laminate. To validate the results of the single isolation value, a prediction of a composite wall consisting of a brick wall and a double window with an air chamber, was made in the algorithm, obtaining an STC of 35; in-situ measurement, in accordance with the standard UNE-EN ISO 16283-1: 2014, with an STC of 30; and a simulation by the finite element method (FEM) in 2D, having a result in the STC of 32. According to the validations carried out, the developed algorithm is useful for the determination of the sound insulation in composite walls during the first design phase in architectural acoustics.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoModelado acústico a través de métodos numéricos para la generación de propuestas de intervención en aulas de clase(2018) Zemanate Silva, Oscar Fabián; Ochoa Villegas, JonathanThe work below consist of the generation of intervention proposals in architectural acoustics for classrooms in public institutions in the colombian cities Medellín, Bogotá and Cali under the project: Identificación de factores de desempeño ambiental (acústico, térmico y visual) determinantes de la salud mental de docentes y estudiantes de escuelas públicas en Bogotá, Medellín y Cali: Línea base para el análisis de la política pública según la norma NTC 4595. For this end a 14 classrooms sample was taken distributed in the three cities mentioned before. The work is divided in three phases and its results are based in geometric acoustics simulations in CATT-Acoustics v.9. The first phase aims to give an initial acoustics diagnosis for each one of the classrooms using simulations. It was found that In the most part of the classrooms the objectives proposed by this investigation were not accomplished: Reverberation time less than 1 second ant STI values greater than 0,6. The second phase take simulation results and with this data and architectural analysis of the classroom (geometry and materiality) gives an architectural proposal in the walls which aims to increase the room’s absorption by adding absorbent panels. In the third phase new simulations are done, this time with the intervention proposal. This simulation let the investigation to verify that the intervention works and works for the most of the rooms
