Los Dulces de Samy is an SME that competes in the Food sector. As it is such a competitive market, it is very important to have advantages that allow the company to differentiate itself from the competitors, among them price strategies are included. In search of this advantage, it is necessary to increase the production capacity of the confectionery through the improvement of the processes, turning them into more efficient activities and reducing the waste that is presented. The Lean Manufacturing philosophy offers tools that allow attacking this problem, helping companies to identify shortcomings and thus improve production processes. This is how this work proposes the use of Lean tools applied in the SME Los Dulces de Samy. Initially, an analysis of the tools is made and it is found that it is very important to make a diagnosis of the company and that before implementing Lean tools, the 5's that are the pillar to be able to apply this philosophy in the company must be implemented. In this way, a diagnosis of the company is presented and the productive problems it has are identified. Later, a Pareto diagram is made in which it is concluded that the product that generates greater impact to the company are the alfajores on which an analysis of processes is made, to finally present a proposal of continuous improvement of the identified factors. It is concluded that it is necessary to use a manual of good practices and the implementation of other Lean tools such as KANBAN and PHVA in the process to improve productivity

Guía metodológica para la evaluación e implementación de las 5’s en PYMES del sector textil
(2021) Pinillos Villa, Luisa Fernanda; Maya Bravo, Leidy Natalia; Ruiz Moreno, Silvana
This project presents a tool that was built with the aim of supporting companies in the textile sector in the recognition and diagnosis of their current state in relation to the adoption of the 5’s. To achieve this, an initial approach to the general operating conditions of the companies was carried out every time through on-site visits and a search in the literature of different databases on the most widely used Lean Manufacturing tools in the textile sector. He managed to analyze the impact of the implementation of Lean tools in the sector, identifying that the 5's should be used in the first instance to eliminate waste and generate culture in the organization in order to facilitate the future implementation of other continuous improvement techniques. After this, the criteria that make up the 5's were established based on case studies found and the working conditions identified in an SME in the textile sector located in the center of Medellin. After establishing the criteria related to each of the 5's, a proposal is made for an application to diagnose the current state in terms of adoption of the 5's and propose improvements to reduce waste, in addition to proposing recommendations to facilitate the adoption of 5's.

Uso de redes bayesianas para calcular la variable que más influye en la decisión de compra de repuestos automotrices
(2020) Muñoz Pineda, Juan David; Úsuga Rueda, Robinson Martín
This project studies the best way to calculate the variable that allows analyzing strategies to increase the sales of spare parts in the automotive industry, by collecting data on what happens when a person arrives at the warehouse and asks for a product, several groups of variables according to characteristics that may affect the likelihood of the sale occurring and according to the contribution of each variable to success, different proposals are filtered; until identifying the most relevant when buying automotive parts such as: the price, product availability, level of customer service, presentation or aesthetics of the product, warranty, durability, brand and after-sales service. Then, Bayesian networks are used to know which of these mentioned variables increases the probability that the sale will occur, next, with the help of a software specialized in Bayesian networks called Genie, the data is simulated according to evidence of successful sales or product availability. Finally, it is concluded that the most important variable is customer service.

Propuesta para implementar herramientas de gestión de calidad, para reducir las no conformidades en el sector textil
(2019) Botero Toro, Paulina; Macías Silva, María Camila; Úsuga Rueda, Robinson Martín
This research is done to propose a quality management system and to generate strategies that reduce the non-conformities of the textile sector, proposing continuous improvement processes, and minimizing the percentage of error in finished garments. Since the textile industry has had a great importance in Colombia as a source of employment generation, but which particularly lost its thrust with the high standards of competitiveness imposed by the international market, the textile industries must To attend and update their quality processes, without neglecting the production process, the quality of the inputs, the workforce and all those elements that participate in this process. In this regard will be taken into account: The PHVA cycle, the Pareto, management indicators and proposals for improvement continues all in favor of ISO 9001:2015. In front of the foregoing, a documentary analysis is made on the literature that exists on the studies of quality management systems, all in walking to a proposal that unifies the quality management process in MIC
