Abstract
The present work is the result of the research on the change of the construction of the Antioquian housing in the last years, taking into account factors such as the increase of the population and the reduction of the rural area or the area of expansion of the city, focusing on The Housing of Social Interest (VIS) and their problems. Thanks to this research we found results that show how the family relationship with social environments (neighbors and friends) and family environment is affected, in addition, to have problems with the traditional furniture inside these homes with reduced spaces. Taking these results into account, the following question arose: How could the socialization of families with their social and family environment within VIS be improved through furniture? For that, we took into account the daily activities, the forms and frequency of socialization of the family, the area destined for each space of the home and the furniture and objects present in each of them, producing important conclusions to be taken into account for the elaboration of the project

El presente trabajo es el resultado de la investigación sobre el cambio de construcción de la vivienda antioqueña en los últimos años, teniendo en cuenta factores como el aumento de la población y la disminución del área rural o el área de expansión de la ciudad, centrándonos en las Viviendas de Interés Social (VIS) y sus problemas. Gracias a esta investigación se encontró resultados que muestra cómo se afecta la relación de familia con entornos sociales (vecinos y amigos) y entorno familiar, además, de tener problemas con el mobiliario tradicional dentro de estos hogares con espacios reducidos. Teniendo en cuenta estos resultados surgió la siguiente pregunta: ¿Cómo por medio del mobiliario se podría mejorar la socialización de las familias con su entorno social y familiar dentro de las VIS? Para eso se tuvo en cuenta las actividades diarias, las formas y frecuencia de socialización de la familia, el área destinada para cada espacio del hogar y el mobiliario y objetos presentes en cada uno de ellos, arrojando conclusiones importantes a tener en cuenta para la elaboración del proyecto
