Abstract
This research in its preliminary phase is carried out in the Physical Therapy Program at the University of Cauca, in response to the process Self-assessment is carried out for High Quality Accreditation. Has intended to characterize the curricular aspects describing the profile defined training, identifying the structure and organization of content posed to finally analyze these findings. His reference frames support in the current regulations proposed by the Ministry of Education National processes for self-evaluation, institutional guidelines and theoretical references that support the categories of analysis for this work They are: curriculum and higher education, self-assessment and training profile. The methodology is structured qualitative approach, design research documented using as technique and tools for collection of information literature review, institutional documents and bibliographic records respectively. It is concluded from this study that the profile Current training Physiotherapy student at the University of Cauca part of a curricular structure training areas. The new proposal adjustment seeks to articulate the profile of student training policies national public to enable it to meet the needs of the context and proposes a structure and organization of content by axes, areas and components. Finally, it is suggested that by this work is continued strengthening the theoretical framework both as educational discipline order that to consolidate its curricular structure and thus the program academic responds to current educational trends nationally and international.
