Abstract
The study examines the value presented by the fine arts building in Armenia Quindío because of the qualities it possesses and that form bonds of belonging, identity and memory for the community. A very important axis called the "¨C of culture", in the traditional center of the city, that name is an proposed name for the down town place-center, which allows to have more direct relations with the heritage buildings around it and hence the importance of revitalizing and consolidating an urbanistic proposal of a public space adjacent to the building of the faculty of fine arts; object of intervention, with the purpose of remembering that the heritage is alive and therefore changing and is nourished in the diversity and the intercultural dialogue for which spaces of encounter are proposed, that support the rescue of traditions, customs and therefore rescue the Site values. The proposed idea, is to weave the territory and articulate the building of fine arts, recognizing that its vocation and the activities developed there, can encourage the cultural and artistic development of the population of the sector, allowing the ideal space for the congregation of these cultural activities

En el estudio se examina el valor que presenta el edificio de bellas artes en Armenia Quindío a causa de las cualidades que este posee y que conforman lazos de pertenencia, identidad y memoria para la comunidad. Se plantea un eje muy importante llamado la calle ¨C de la cultura¨, nombre propuesto para en el centro tradicional de Armenia ;que permite tener relaciones más directas con los edificios patrimoniales a su alrededor y de ahí la importancia de revitalizar y consolidar una propuesta urbanística de espacio público colindante con el edifico de la facultad de bellas artes; objeto de intervención, con la finalidad de recordar que el patrimonio es vivo y por tanto cambiante y se nutre en la diversidad y el dialogo intercultural por lo cual se proponen espacios de encuentro, que propicien el rescate de tradiciones, costumbres y por ende rescatar los valores del sitio. La idea propuesta; consiste en tejer el territorio y articular el edificio de bellas artes, reconociendo que su vocación y como las actividades que allí se desarrollan pueden incentivar el desarrollo cultural y artístico de la población del sector, permitiendo el espacio idóneo para la congregación de estas actividades culturales
