Abstract
Initially going through a bibliography route which includes background research, previous studies and a conceptual construction of fundamental signifiers such as old age, body, social bond and disease, a writing has been built that is focused on the insistence of organic disease in the social bond, finding that this is more about an interimcidence that requires the study of some aspects such as the identifications, the grupal cohesion, the new signifiers linked with the disease, the body and the old age, the social representation of the old age etc... From this perspective, it is possible to see how the organic illness changes into a knot that hold the relationship of the old with its social environment. Everything before from the framework of the psychoanalytic theory.

Pasando inicialmente por un recorrido bibliográfico que incluyen antecedentes investigativos, estudios previos y una construcción conceptual de significantes fundamentales tales como vejez, cuerpo, lazo social y enfermedad, se ha construido un texto que estudia la incidencia de la enfermedad orgánica en el lazo social, encontrando que se trata más bien de una interincidencia que exige el estudio de aspectos tales como las identificaciones, la cohesión grupal, los nuevos significantes asociados a la enfermedad, el cuerpo y la vejez, la representación social de la vejez, etc.. Desde esta perspectiva, se muestra cómo la enfermedad orgánica se convierte en el nudo que sostiene la relación del “viejo” con su entorno social. Todo lo anterior, desde el marco de la teoría psicoanalítica.
