Abstract
This project was carried out in order to characterize the resources and attractions of Puerto Garza in the municipality of San Carlos, Antioquia, which will allow socioeconomic development for the community. It is a territory that has been very affected in the era of violence and where the main economic activity is fishing, the most important for the daily sustenance of families. This town has a great water wealth and a great diversity of fauna and flora which makes it very attractive for the development of sustainable tourism and competitive nature for its characteristics mentioned above. For the diagnosis a descriptive investigation was taken into account, with field work and collection of information in the place and with the community in general, where it was very participative and receptive on the part of all the estates that conform this community (Junta de Acción Comunal, Asomipez and Asociación de Cacaoteros, Centro Educativo Rural). The results obtained in the diagnosis show us the great potential of tourist resources that the town has to develop a product design, at the same time we identified in terms of infrastructure, superstructure and complementary services of the tourism value chain are still very deficient. We conclude that the town of Puerto Garza through the development of projects that improve the current conditions for the provision of tourist services, can become a desired destination for national and international tourists who are interested in interaction with the community and nature

Este proyecto se realizó con el fin de caracterizar los recursos y/o atractivos de Puerto Garza del municipio de San Carlos, Antioquia, los cuales permitirán un desarrollo socioeconómico para la comunidad. Ya que es un territorio que ha sido muy afectado en la época de la violencia y donde la actividad económica principal es la pesca, la más importante para el sustento diario de las familias. Este corregimiento cuenta con una gran riqueza hídrica y una gran diversidad de fauna y flora lo que lo hace muy atractivo para el desarrollo de un turismo de naturaleza sostenible y competitivo por sus características antes mencionadas. Para el diagnóstico se tuvo en cuenta una investigación descriptiva, con trabajo de campo y recolección de información en el lugar y con la comunidad en general, donde esta fue muy participativa y receptiva por parte de todos los estamentos que conforman dicha comunidad (Junta de Acción Comunal, Asomipez y Asociación de Cacaoteros, Centro Educativo Rural). Los resultados obtenidos en el diagnóstico nos muestran el gran potencial de recursos turísticos que posee el corregimiento para desarrollar un diseño de producto, a la vez identificamos en cuanto a la infraestructura, superestructura y servicios complementarios de la cadena de valor de turismo son aún muy deficientes. Concluimos que el corregimiento de Puerto Garza a través del desarrollo de proyectos que mejoren las condiciones actuales para la prestación de los servicios turísticos, puede llegar a ser un destino deseado por turistas nacionales e internacionales que se interesen en la interacción con la comunidad y la naturaleza
