Abstract
This is an investigative work in which the history of the School is investigated by the discursive events of what we know today as student permanence, the factors that historically have been determining in which a student remains or not in the Institution are identified, this In order to generate a space for reflection based on the analysis of the internal and external context and to serve as the basis for the construction of an institutional model of the policy of student permanence. The main reasons for formulating and developing this study are based on the need for the School to have what we could call a state of the "local" art of student permanence in which elements of analysis and reflection are integrated, which serve as the basis to support senior management in the formulation and formulation of policies and strategies in this regard.

Este es un trabajo investigativo en el cual se indaga en el histórico de la Escuela por los acontecimientos discursivos de lo que hoy conocemos como permanencia estudiantil, se identifican los factores que históricamente han sido determinantes en que un estudiante permanezca o no en la Institución, esto con fin de generar un espacio de reflexión sustentado en el análisis del contexto interno y externo y que sirvan de base para la construcción de un modelo institucional de la política de permanencia estudiantil.Las razones principales para formular y desarrollar este estudio se basan en la necesidad para la Escuela de tener lo que podríamos llamar un estado del arte “local” de la permanencia estudiantil en el cual se integren elementos de análisis y de reflexión, que sirvan de base para apoyar la alta dirección en el planteamiento y formulación de políticas y estrategias en tal sentido.
