El presente trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo presentar una propuesta de mejora en la recolección de los residuos sólidos en el barrio poblado uno de Santiago de Cali, orientada a disminuir las cantidades de residuos que llegan al relleno sanitario Colomba Guabal en Yotoco. Se resalta la importancia que tiene el proceso de separación en la fuente de los residuos, su práctica y buen uso son el punto de partida en la recuperación de los materiales aprovechables, que pueden ser reutilizados, y transformados en nuevos productos para luego ser reincorporados al ciclo de vida productivo y económico, así mismo la investigación evidencia las diferentes razones teóricas y metodológicas actuales y las causas que lo genera.
Descripción general
The purpose of this degree project is to present a proposal for improvement in the collection of solid waste in the one-populated neighborhood of Santiago de Cali, aimed at reducing the amount of waste that reaches the Colomba Guabal landfill in Yotoco. The importance of the separation process at the source of the waste is highlighted, its practice and good use are the starting point in the recovery of the usable materials, which can be reused, and transformed into new products and then re-incorporated into the The productive and economic life cycle, likewise, the research shows the different current theoretical and methodological reasons and the causes that generate it.
The execution of the project was carried out through 3 phases of development, first the diagnosis was made of the current situation regarding the behavior, management and final disposal procedure of the waste in the sector, tools such as 5 W + 1 h were applied, Ishikawa diagram, data collection sheet, flow chart, Pareto chart and survey.
In the second phase of development two proposals for solution and improvement are made, where in the first one an awareness campaign was implemented with the community, using the DMAIC methodology and its engineering tools (Plan - Do - Verify and Act) to give solution To this problem, the second proposal, a model is provided with a series of steps that must be taken into account to install intelligent underground containers.
And finally, the improvement plan regarding the solid waste collection procedure is evaluated. Using the project evaluation method, the Present Value (VP), to determine whether it is convenient or not to invest in the installation of 160 container in the neighborhood.
